Ziyal is HOME

Yay! :bolian: And I bet your cats are just as excited as you are.

God, 5 months. I miss sleeping in my own bed after one night!!

Keep up the good work :) Will be thinking of you next Wednesday

While I'm not a big dog person, this shows how happy I'm sure your cats must've been to see you. :)

Congratulations!!! :D

I wouldn't be too upset about the insomnia last night...I bet you were excited! Probably a better reason for insomnia than you've had in a long time--any change in environment can get you keyed up, even the most positive ones.

I can't wait to hear how your appointment goes!

That made me smile , I got the same reaction from my Landlords dogs last Sunday when they came home from a 4 day trip.
And Welcome Home Ziyal, hope all goes well from here on in.

Glad to hear you are home and pray that you continue to recover and get all kinds of good reports.

So I finally saw the neurosurgeon today....

Last week's imaging -- the first since the surgery -- was perfect. Exactly what he wanted to see. No cancer, titanium pins holding well, etc. Not to mention that he was thrilled to hear how well I'm doing by now w/ bladder and bowels, not that there isn't room for improvement in both.

Those of you who pray, please keep praying that I stay cancer free. Chordomas are notorious for coming back in or near the original location.

Last time I saw the neurodude, I still wasn't ready for much info. By now I am, so he showed me the CT, MRI and X-rays. Fascinating! I'd been a little confused before... I'd understood that my sacrum had mostly been replaced with titanium. Wrong. Most of my sacrum (all but S-1 and half of S-2, for those of you who know what that means) and all of my coccyx are gone. There are titanium pins holding that bit of sacrum and the lower part of the lumbar directly to the ileum (pelvic bones). Yikes.

I am a very happy camper today!

Doing the happy dance, dance of joy and any other excited by good news moves you can name.
(There will be no pictures as it is not pretty :p )

You'll be doing them soon I am sure. YYYEEEEAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
