"You speak Prada?!"

Whenever I see that part of the trailer on my TV I want to throw something through it. Which isn't good, I've an expensive TV.

Ugh.

Me too. It gives me the biggest douche chill ever. And I'm a fan of design, I have prada glasses on right now even. That is so awful and I will never see that film.

oh yeah that, looks like an awful movie

are they offering to buy you some must have thing, if you write & tell them why you must have the must have thing?

I think it's kind of a funny line, but then again, I love shoes. I don't own any Prada, but that's mostly because I'm (1) slightly too sensible and (2) definitely too poor.

That movie has everything I hate about how women are portrayed as vapid pink-wearing bimbos who can Elle Woods their way to the top...but I do love Isla Fisher to death. Maybe this will be more Devil Wears Prada, which had a lot of substance for a rom-com set in the fashion world.

That because people make movies and they're the problem. Lets skip right the source here. :p

:wtf:

Come again?
its in the promos for the movie, shown alot on the music channels.

basically you can win anything you want (I get the feeling they mean some sort of fashion item) and all you have to do is tell them you must have that must have item.

Agreed.

I mean, I don't care how dumb and shopaholic a woman is. Would any person with two braincells to rub together really go up to someone, who just rambled off a bunch of procuts made by a company, and ask them if they speak that company -as if that company is a language?

This being a Star Trek we could do a sociological study in the form of a poll.

Does the phrase "You speak Prada?" in reference to:

A) One who is verse in women's designer footwear and handbags.

B.) The native language spoken on Gamma Pra'Da VI. A trinary system in the Beta Quadrant.

I assume A

I feel the same way. Everytime I see the commerical I almost, almost think, "Eh, it can't be that bad," which I think has more to do with a crush I have on Isla Fisher more than anything else, until I hear that line and snap back to reality and realize how stupid the movie looks.
