If anything, moreso, given the whole potential "white savior who was probably sexually experimenting with gorillas" undercurrent.

Actually, Joe Shuster was both Canadian and American. He was born in Toronto, but moved to Cleveland with his family at age 10. That's where he attended Glenville High School, and met his future Superman co-creator Jerry Siegel.
So, a Canadian-American then. Doesn't invalidate what was said.
Currently watching "Trigger Warning" on Netflix. It's a very middle of the road action movie starring Jessica Alba. It's not horrible, but really I'm watching it because I have two friends in the movie. The woman who plays the mother of the pothead friend and the old guy who helps Parker out by giving her some weapons.
I know it's been a while since I posted in this thread, but I wanted to mention something I've recently started enjoying. I'd heard some things in passing for a while, about a Christian TV show called The Chosen. In all honesty, I wasn't sure what to make of it, but today I started watching...and after just the first three episodes, I know it's truly special. The episodic nature of the program allows for detailed explorations of things only hinted at in Scripture, and yet none of it feels contradictory. The Apostle John wrote in the 21st chapter of his Gospel account, "Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written." I like to think that this show represents what some of those events might have been like.
