Of course, but an actress who projected more intelligence could've played the part in a different way that made the story more convincing. Blackman and Martel both fit the bill, IMO.
not quite on topic, but i just wanted somewhere to say, i can't watch an episode of hawaii five oh without wondering what it would be like with Shatner in the role. Lol.
Imagine Elizabeth Montgomery as Chapel (she was amazing emotive in that Twilight Zone with Charles Bron... hold on:
Charles Bronson as Capt. Kirk? Might have saved him from being typecast by 'Death Wish'. But he was already a bankable movie star and acting in a TV series in a starring role was seen by Hollywood as a downgrade at that time.

And Shatner retroactively became Two-Face
Would have been great if Adam West could retroactively had a role on Trek:
Maybe a rival captain to Kirk, or as an alternate overbearing Trelane/Q type being.
Or if both are doing villains, one-to-one replacements maybe Adam West as (Anton Karidian/Kodos the Executioner) the Shakespearian Actor/Mass-Murdering Dictator, form The Conscience of the King.
Can totally see Adam West bombastic scenery chewing at its finest.

i;m watching it slowly on paramount plus. i'm somewhere in the second season, which is not nearly as engaging as the first season, so far. So, probably not, although I have seen Ricardo Montelbon.
