Why cloaking devices may not be a good thing!

This would never happen to the Romulans?:rommie: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7892294.stm

I don't understand why people are getting their panties in a wad over this. Back in the 80's, Soviet and American subs played Cat and Mouse all the time and it wasn't uncommon for them to bump into each other.

I think this time it was more a case of clumsy not-looking-where-we're-going-ness than part of some intentional cat'n'mouse game. Besides, we just like something to laugh at :)

Wait?

The French have Nuclear Subs?

;)

Apparently, not having learned from the Maginot Line... the French had Siemans AG develop the silo technology for their land-based missiles and guidance packages for both the land and sea forces.

Kudos for developing a modern nuclear deterrence, EPIC FAIL for having your arch nemesis of two world-wars help you build it. :guffaw:

This is why i've always petitioned for horns to be fitted to subs. But nobody ever listens to me.

As long as the whales don't mistake it for a mating call. Try explaining that back at base:shifty:

What about retractable horns that can be withdraw back into the sub, and extended out when they find themselves in hot water?

I think if they had that equipment they'd be better off with a cold shower;)

Submarines can't end up in hot water. The ocean depths are very very cold--- oh wait metaphorical hot water. Gotcha. Stupid engineering reflex. :D
