Who is watching Star Trek on youtube?

So are you watching any classic Trek on YouTube.com?
It may not be remastered but it is free, and available any time you feel like watching!

Works for me. I prefer the non-remastered versions with the original, non-CGI special effects, anyway. ;)

However, on those occasions when I don't feel like wrestling with the VHS player, I usually go to Hulu rather than YouTube...even though all those commercial breaks are a PITA. :D

i watch them on hulu since TOS is on at 5 in the morning. on sunday. so i write down the name of the episode im missing and watch it on hulu.

I watch it on CBS.com.

Ditto. For the hell of it, I have watched a couple of TOS eps on YouTube's CBS channel. I watch the other series on YouTube, as well, as there are a number of subscribers who've uploaded a lot of TNG, DSN, VOY, and ENT eps on their channels. -- RR

I used to watch it on YouTube, but YouTube has become the stormtroopers of copyright and most of the episodes have been vanishing.

I never could watch any video online with my lousy, slow connection, but this spring I got high-speed Internet and I started watching 2 or 3 Treks a day on YouTube. In fact, that's probably what got me to start posting here, so I guess you all have YouTube to blame for that.

^ Nah, you're not the only one. I have the original set of DVDs when they only put two episodes on each one. Takes up a whole frigging shelf!

Me too!

When everyone on this forum was confidently predicting boxsets were only a matter of time, I was hoarding every two-episode DVD pack there was. Lies, those boxset rumours, all lies!

Ahem.

CBS got all hurky jerky on me. I use youtube. Or whatever they use.

Since I have only S1 on DVD, I like being able to access more. youtube also has some Next Gen, Voyager and Enterprise episodes.

I just use YouTube for watching Star Trek related videos, I wouldn't be able to see otherwise. I own all the shows on disc, so wouldn't dream of straining my eyes for whole episodes. I do upload rare footage ommited from DVD release though... old VHS trailers, unreleased documentaries and interviews.

I used to be into that whole torrent thing purely for brand new episodes of Enterprise, because I simply couldn't wait the many months they took to cross the Atlantic legally. If in the future, a Star Trek premiered on the web before a TV broadcast... CBS would no doubt have my custom.

LOL! I've been convinced by everyone here (including Mike O.) that i should upgrade to the blu-rays. My birthday is coming up, so those are on my wish list. I'll probably pass the other set along to my 25 year old son, who made it known after seeing the new movie that he wanted to go back and see Trek from the beginning. YIPPEE!
