What's Wikipedia Doing To Me???

So, i open WP and I get this:

Now how do I search? I've obviously pressed an onscreen button or somesuch, but I'm shot if I can figure it out. Anypone have any ideas?

what happens when you click the magnifying glass next to the "create account" text? Not sure how you turned the background black.

Maybe try a CTRL+F5 to do a cache clear refresh? Also, if you have an account, you can add a light/dark mode toggle from Preferences>Gadgets.

There is no magnifying glass. Oh, wait! If I move to the left of the create acct btn, the cursor goes active and I can click to activate a search box. So I'm assuming there's a magnifying glass there, black on black.

Turned the background black using night mode in Firefox. I currently have eye problems, and night mode makes it a lot easier.

Still, looks different than it used to, I thought I must have activated some UI change.

One more thing...

There is a black box at the top left of the window, and when I click on it, it displays the page index, instead of being at the top of the page. I've never seen this before. Is this a redesign or have I triggered a different view?

The info on this page might be useful. Wikipedia has updated the default, non-logged-in look to the the narrow, screen-wasting, scroll-down-a-lot format that everyone else seems to use these days.

^^Yeah, appending ?useskin=vector to any of the wiki-enc page URLs will bring up the older format (for now, anyway) but it's not persistent. Google searches and searches within wiki-enc itself will always bring up the new format page if you are not logged in to wiki-enc.
That appended text works great with any bookmarks you have for wiki-enc pages though.

At first I didn't notice the magnifying glass in your original screenshot either. But if I look at it from different angles, it's more visible. So it's a black icon on a very dark gray background.
