What is your favorite (one - shot) species from Voyager?

BohandiAnsoid

Commander
Red Shirt
What is your favorite species from Voyager that appeard only once (or maybe ponce and a few times in the background)? And only that, so no Talaxians, Borg or Ocampa (no matter how much the last part pains me to say). Whicj one you liked the most? And what can you tell (write about them, canon or not?

I'd say the Krenim off the top of my head. I am very fond of the Year of Hell two parter, which I saw before "Before & After". It was interesting for me to see the scenes with Seven and the time displaced chroniton torpedo, and then realize that Kes had a very similar scene in Season 3.

On a cheekier note, the Krenim are one of the few Voyager enemies who were able to defeat Captain Janeway and Voyager not once, but twice using Voyager's own weapon against itself:

The reset button.

The Vaad dwaur were also pretty interesting. Delta Quadrant legends of a war mongering species who were long though lost only to be found in hibernation for 800 years. Awakened and hungry for power with outdated technology, but superior numbers, and a tactical edge with a hidden network of subspace corridors for travel? Lots of potential there and one of Voyager's great season six episodes.

IMDB said for a while that there's a Vaadwaur in 31

The Void aliens were pretty cool. Their biology must be rather interesting to allow them to live in darkness their whole lives. The Void itself is stupefying when you consider a vast expanse of space wherein no natural light penetrates!

Love their ships, too.

We're in the Delta Quadrant now, dammit, so there better be some strange new life to look at! And Voyager did deliver.

Idk if species 8472 count here because they appeared in 3 or 4 episodes but hey are one of my favorite speies in the whole Star Trek universe.
Another fascinating species was the one in The Swarm who apperaed just once.I've never seen this before, coming along with 1000s of small ships. It was copied in the movie Star Trek Beyond.

Species 8472 is on border of what counts. However, I don't consider them as counting because, while they only appeared in 4 episodes, their impact on the series was rather big.

The Vaaduar, the Krenim, the Voth, and the guy who does the nose-puffs from "Counterpoint" are all candidates for me. If we're allowed to include novels though, the Chair from "the Nanotech War" are my #1 pick.

Not necessarily my favorite one-shot species (they became grating even within the episode itself) but one that hasn't been mentioned, and certainly (imho) an interesting one: the Sikarians (those from Prime Factors with the trajector technology).

How can such a (hedonistic) society that only emphasizes pleasure (to such an extent I remembered them as Sybarians) , and the latest thrill remain stable over a longer time?

Oh, and that Eudana girl was kinda pretty :)
