Voyager Novels - Your Favourite?

I really liked Ragnarok. The book would've made for quite a good tv episode.

On a similar note, does anyone remember mentioning a few months ago who I was speaking with (or in a thread I happened to be passing through) if they were interested in obtaining the early novels? I know the poster was Australian. Can't remember who it was.

That's what I was going to say!!!

I loved the ending. So lateral.

Any other Voyager novel I have read hasn't really sat that well. Christy Golden is just too happy and far too "in love" with Kathy.

Those Homecoming books made me wretch.

Echoes was terrific, with a real "epic" feel, and Seven of Nine was wonderful (as was the very similar episode that followed). The Invasion book was also solid.

Oh, and I'm Australian, but I own all the early Voyager books, so it wasn't me! :)

I loved "Ghost of a Chance", "Ragnarok", and now the "Spirit Walk" books. Also "Mosaic" was excellent. I have that one on cassette tape..KM does a fantastic job with the voices she does! Those are very fascinating and keep me on the edge of my seat..would have made great Voyager episodes I think. I haven't read any of the homecoming books though. Wonder if they stink or not?

The first two by Christie Golden are quite good, IMO, though I was angry it wasn't made clear they were a duology.

Most of the early Voyager novels were pretty good. I don't have them all, but most. I miss the numbers they used to put on them. Trying to find all of the books that go together now, in the TNG series for example, is kind of confusing if you're buying a bunch on Amazon or elsewhere.

"Echoes" is one of my favorites. The "String Theory" books are excellent too. The relaunch "Homecoming" books by Golden are ok.

I don't miss the numbers, but I do miss the lists that used to be in the books.

Ah, well...

I liked the numbers & the lists.

To be honest the only Voyager books I read were post-finale & I didn't really care for those...

I forgot about the lists. Those were useful too.

The relaunch books were merely alright. The "String Theory" books are post finale but take place during season 6, I believe. Those are good books and I'd try them out if you need a VOY fix.

I have several favorites including "Incident at Arbuk," "Death of a Neutron Star," "Battle Lines," and "Ragnarok" in addition to "Echoes." All excellent, epic, and definitely fit the Voyager feel.

Distant Shores - the 10th anniversary story collection is fabulous. I also liked the Nanotech War, Homecoming & The Farthest Shore, The Spirit Walk books, and the String Theory Trilogy. I just ordered No Man's Land - the Gateways series Voyager book.

About time we had a new Voyager Novel!
