Voice for the future

Well, now that the sad news has come to us that Majel Barrett Roddenberry is not longer among us, who will puck up her role as the Computer's voice? I'm not so good with voices, though, so if you post someone, a face would be nice as well ;)

Was she even involved a little in Trek XI, next to her voicing the computer?

According to this article she already finished doing to voice part for the computer, so I'm guessing it will be her. After trek 11, who knows.

She will not be forgotten. Rest assured of that. May Gene & Majel find eternal happiness in each others' arms.

Isnt being in the movie as the computer voice involved? I am confused by the question. This is like asking if any of the other actors from the movie like Chris Pine are involved with Trek XI. Obviously if they are in the movie they are involved with it.

But if we're going to keep if Trek-centric, how about if the federation modeled their new Computer voice after Admiral Janeway?
I'm not the biggest VOY fan, but that's a good idea. :bolian: Sure her voice can be grating, but it's highly distinctive, and the computer doesn't exactly spew out monologues. Just a brief snippet of dialogue here and there.

With the timing issue, we might need to find a TOS era replacement, such as Nichelle Nichols.

I'm talking more about a global involvement, like giving creative directions and such.

We're talking about the First Lady of Star Trek, not about "that new Kirk". All Pine needs to do is act, while my question relates more to how she (more, if) has a certain influence on Abrahm...

Roxann Dawson (B'Elanna Torres) voiced the Cardassian dreadnaught's computer in the Voyager episode of the same name, and the voice of the alien space station's computer in ENT's "Deadstop"

Why does it have to stay a female voice? I say bring William Daniels in. Of course, it only works if you put a big red Cylon light on the front of the ship.
