Voice for the future

I'm talking more about a global involvement, like giving creative directions and such.

When has Paramount ever asked Majel Roddenberry for creative directions or input on any "Star Trek" project? Gene Roddenberry was consulted on the movies only due to contractual requirements.

For reasons of keeping true to scifi cliches, I think the computer voice should be both female and british and there should be like 5 different scenes with self destruct countdowns.

I'd prefer they continue to use her voice. She's done so many scenes as the computer I don't think they'd have a problem coming up with a way of editing previous work together for new scenes.

I personally think that sort of thing would be kinda creepy, like those commercials with the digitally recreated Orville Redenbacher a while ago.

I was watching a DS9 episode lately, WOTW part 2, I believe, the Defiant was preparing to leave the Station to go save Dukat and the others.

A woman was taking the helm while orating about the cloaking device being ready, or online, or something like that but I was struck by how closely her tone and style matched that of Majel as a computer.

Cue it up and hear for yourself, she'd be a perfect successor.
