USS Orion NX-1753 (TOS Era ship)

BRIEF: USS Orion - A secret Federation Starship designed to defend station K-7 from frequent Klingon raids. This ship would later be the testbed for the Federation's early attempts at a cloaking device. Design specs on this ship were later stolen by the Tal Shiar and used to create the now infamous Romulan Bird of Prey...

PERSONAL NOTES: This is my latest TOS starship design. I have taken design elements from the K-7 station and the Romulan Bird of Prey and combined them into this nifty little attack ship.

Very nice! The different elements work pretty well together! My only nit is the registry - my gut feel is that it would be lower, giving time for the Romulans to steal it, copy it, and create the BoP before the Enterprise encounters it.

Great looking design.

If you're going to give the Romulans time to steal the "look" and design & build a BOP for the Enterprise to encounter, the registry number should be lower. Maybe in the 1500's.

Also, it does look a little pre-Enterprise, like 20 years or so.

I like this because in the script for "Balance of Terror" the design of the Romulan Ship was evidence that Romulans had spies.

You'll have to forgive my laziness in that I'm just going to change the number 7 in it. Should it be 1653 or 1553?

Might just knock the '1' off of it making it 'NX-753'?
