USS Hades

Beautiful!

Question: Do those doors slide to the side, as opposed to the conventional clamshell configuration, or have you not gotten there yet?
I´m still debating with myself the best configuration. As you can see, I don´t have to much space to move the doors to the top or to the bottom, nor to the sides. So, I´ll have to find a creative way.
Perhaps a door with several "leafs" (planes) that move and overlap is the solution.
But I´m openned to suggestions.

Well, you seem to be following a (roughly) Miranda-like configuration with those twin doors. I believe the Reliant filming miniature had an articulated-looking pair of doors (though never shown open). It makes the most amount of physical and architectural sense to do a similar thing, albeit with a subtle curvature. Almost like a hybrid between the flat recessed Miranda doors and the curved clamshell Enterprise doors. YMMV.

Shuttlebay doors installed.

Nice progress! Those are some big engines, both impulse and warp, for a shuttle that size. Specialized for high speed or some particular mission profile?
