Uncharted 2 is crazy brilliant amazing [insert gush]

How would player two doing something that player one can't even see negatively impact player one? And why are you insisting that such a scene even needs to be in U3?

How would player two doing something that player one can't even see negatively impact player one?

Usually when you're playing online you're aware of what the other player is doing to some degree. I also think that the experiences I pointed to are both best digested alone. In the scene where Drake is injured and fighting for his life, it wouldn't have had quite as much impact if there was a second player on the other end somewhere else experiencing his own amazing level and yapping in my ear the whole time. Ditto for the scene where Drake wakes up in the Tibetan village.

And why are you insisting that such a scene even needs to be in U3?

Oh no, I wasn't insisting that these scenes need to be in U3, but I do feel that changes of pace are extremely important in a game like U2. Great action games do change pace to give the player something new to consider, and I think U3 will almost definitely have similar segments.

Anyone around who wants to play Uncharted 2 co-op at 11 a.m. Pacific/2 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday or Thursday next week?

What's your PSN name? I can't plan that far ahead, but there's a possibility I might be on, in any case if anyone's ever playing U2 and looking for a partner in co-op or multiplayer I'd be happy to play.

PSN name is Korghano

BigFoot and dragunzng, since you two are in the same time zone, would you both be free to play U2 this Wednesday or Thursday night at around 8 p.m. your time?

Of course, I have no idea if dragunzng is actually in your time zone or one hour behind you.

I think Bigfoot and I should be in the same time zone, where are you Aragorn?

If you're up for it Aragorn We can play Thursday, 8pm's fine although I generally do prefer to play later in the day (the internet here can be a little spotty here until late). Either way, let me know what you want to do.

Bigfoot, what's ur PSN name? Mine's Korghano. I put my TrekBBS handle in the comments section of my friendlist to make it easier to recognise me.

I should warn you folks though, I haven't played some of the maps very much. I know the ones that were in the beta like the back of my hand though.

^ Cool, I think you were in my list already. I wish I could add tags to my friends names on PSN. I added Aragorn last week but forgot his PSN name five minutes later, had to recheck the thread!

Sounds like BigFoot wants to watch Olympic Ice Fishing and Icicle Crossbow Biathlon, so maybe we'll have to do this next week.

Yeah I thought I had you on my list of PSN friends. And while not the same, my PSN is similar to my TrekBBS name. Just add 74205 (USS Defiant's numbers) to the end. ;)

Gotcha, Bigfoot.

Great game last night Aragorn. Sorry I couldn't stay longer, I had a presentation in 5 hours! Also, I apologise for um, dying so much. It was the first time I'd played co-op on anything higher than easy, frantic stuff, I was a little shell shocked!

Oh I'd played co-op before, and on hard even... just in the beta. It seems you go down a LOT faster in the finished game. Occasionally I would leap out of cover to pick up some cover, only to get mowed down by some dude with a shotgun, poor Aragorn would have to leave the safety of his cover to come rescue me!

In fairness though, it was only two of us, I imagine things would have been a lot easier with three!

^ Well I'm free next week in the evenings, so the three of us can play then if you and Aragorn will have the time.

Difficulty level is an oddity. BigFoot and I have difficulty at the end of The Sanctuary with just the two of us, but when there's a third player we can blow through it. Maybe we'll have to ramp up the difficulty level with three players.

But if BigFoot is tired of co-op, there's always survival... as long as no one runs around like a headless chicken and we fortify in a good location.
