The '90s are quite a ways behind us now. I thought it could be fun to look back at what our favourites were and what we were watching.

Regularly watching:
Babylon 5 (I started watching mid way during Season 1 and was immediately hooked)
Batman (the animated series)
Batman Beyond
Crusade
Earth: Final Conflict (I loved Season 1, but bailed about mid way during Season 2)
Frasier
JAG (I caught up in reruns and then hung in until the end)
Law & Order
Law & Order: Special Victim's Unit
Now And Again (good intial premise and start, but sadly it petered out)
Nowhere Man (interesting, but didn't go anywhere)
Stargate: SG-1
Star Trek - Deep Space Nine (watching through to Season 3 then bailed because B5 was better)
Superman (the animated series)
The X-Files

Sporadically watching:
Cheers
China Beach
Due South
Forever Knight
In The Heat Of The Night
Married, With Children
Newhart
The Outer Limits
Pinky And The Brain
Quantum Leap
Seven Days
Star Trek - The Next Generation
Star Trek - Deep Space Nine (sporadic viewing from Season 3 onward)
Unsolved Mysteries
The West Wing
Xena: Warrior Princess

Anyone else?

From your list above:

Babylon 5
Law & Order
Law & Order: Special Victim's Unit
Star Trek (all the series available at that time)
Quantum Leap (most)
Xena: Warrior Princess

Others:

Hercules: The Legendary Journeys (most)
The Crow: Stairway to Heaven
Relic Hunter
Highlander
Highlander: The Raven

Law and Order:SVU and Now and Again both premiered in 1999.

Considering the former show is still running, not sure I would classify it as "90's".

Technically true, but Now And Again only ran the one season and I began watching SVU when it premiered and watched evry episode of the first season.

Star Trek TNG
Star Trek DS9
Star Trek VOY
Home Improvement
The Simpsons (Stopped watching at the end of the 90s)
Batman Animated Series
X Men animated series
Animaniacs
Fraiser
Cheers
Family Matters
Boy Meets World
Hanging With Mr Cooper
Sister Sister
Perfect Strangers
Full House
Quantum Leap
Step By Step
Original Disney Afternoon line up
A lot of the Nickolodeon game shows

That's it for now.

Yeah, I don't think there were too many shows we watched throughout the entire decade. There would definitely have been some overlap including shows that had actually started in the '80s as well as shows that continued on into the 2000s.

It's not easy to remember them all. I also didn't include shows I glanced at once or twice and then never bothered with again. One of those would have VOY where I sampled a few episodes and then never looked at again.

One thing I realized doing my list was I was more into the half hour shows. I don't remember many hour shows other than trek, leap, (Babylon 5 was something I watched but didn't remember it until I got the DVDs in the 00's) and maybe Sliders. Now I do see more hour shows than comedies because other than maybe one or two, I ca either see them in syndication (big bang theory) or I have no interest.

How can I actually watch shows in the 90's? I don't have a time machine. :guffaw:

srsly: That would be Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU, TNG, DS9, Voyager, Sliders (at least until it went off the rails) and QL.

The 90s took me from 7 to 17, so big range of tastes in the full decade. In middle school I watched a lot of terrible sitcoms.

Kids shows I watched:
Garfield and Friends
Animaniacs
Tiny Toons
Doug
Rugrats
Ahh Real Monsters
Rocko's Modern Life
Ren and Stimpy
All That
Pete & Pete
Are You Afraid Of The Dark

Terrible sitcoms I watched:
Full House
Family Matters
Home Improvement
Step By Step
Boy Meets World

Shows I still watch:
The Simpsons
South Park
Saturday Night Live
Star Trek: TNG
Star Trek: Voyager

Quite a few I watched have already been mentioned but I'll also add Space: Above and Beyond to the list.

Yeah, me too. There was Twin Peaks right at the beginning, and I watched NYPD Blue for a few years, but I didn't catch Homicide or Law and Order till years later. When I think back, the '90s were about three comedies: The Simpsons, Seinfeld and The Larry Sanders Show. Each, I think, pretty groundbreaking in TV history.

My list from those already mentioned:

Babylon 5
Batman (the animated series)
Batman Beyond
Law & Order
Stargate: SG-1
Star Trek - Deep Space Nine
Superman (the animated series)
The X-Files
China Beach
In The Heat Of The Night
Married, With Children
Newhart
The Outer Limits
Pinky And The Brain
Quantum Leap
Seven Days
Star Trek - The Next Generation
Unsolved Mysteries
Xena: Warrior Princess
Quantum Leap
Hercules: The Legendary Journeys
Relic Hunter
Highlander

Home Improvement
Cheers (post Diane)
Space: Above and Beyond
Family Matters
Perfect Strangers
Gargoyles

(I needed the other lists to remind me cause my most vivid TV memories are from the seventies and eighties.)

I started the '90s in fifth grade and ended them in college. So bear that in mind when looking at this list.

Part I: Shows that had any new episodes at all from January 1990 to December 1999. (PS: If I get any of this wrong, please don't bring it up because I really don't care. ;) )

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
ALF

Captain Planet
Tiny Toons
Kids' Court
Double Dare
Hey Dude
Hi Honey, I'm Home!
Darkwing Duck
Clarissa Explains It All
Family Matters
Full House
Perfect Strangers
Dinosaurs
In Living Color
Growing Pains
Night Court
Who's the Boss?
Charles In Charge
Star Trek: The Next Generation
Married With Children
Batman
Roc
Martin

Herman's Head
Boy Meets World
Beavis & Butt-Head
Animaniacs
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

Part II: Shows I watched in the '90s that were made before.

Hogan's Heroes
The Twilight Zone

Ummm... I think that's it. I didn't watch a lot of older shows during the '90s like I did during the '80s and '00s.

I forgot to mention Sliders! (and probably a few others)

EDIT: Yep, forgot one of my favorites: Keeping Up Appearances

You Can't Do That On Television
Somebody at the YTV network in Canada must have had a sense of humor. They scheduled a program that to this day I've no idea what it was about since I never bothered to find out, but it resulted in these consecutive listings in the TV Guide:

You Can't Do That On Television
Yes You Can
