Nah, L5 is really far out. It's probably at geosynchronous orbit (GEO), 35,786 kilometers coincide with the rotation of the Earth every twenty-four hours. That's where your satellite dish points. Where on the equator is it located? Who knows. Logically, it would be either over SF Starfleet Academy/HQ, Paris Federation HQ or over Greenwich, England.Am I the only one who feels something as large as the Spacedock seen in ST III or the Franz Joseph Starbase One station should be at the L-5 point rather than in Earth orbit? Just seems like that it would be more manageable that way in terms of needing to maintain an orbit/position, as well as traffic management.
