Don't forget the excessive number of Torpedo Launcher Tubes. The rollbars on top of rollbars are pretty funny.

They’re the tan ribbed panels that are used as detailing on ships in the TNG era. There should be a pair on the Sovereign at the front of the saucer top, between the frontmost groups of escape pods. What are the transporter emitters ?
You mean Converging Bi-Plane Wings.Just had a chance to watch the episode. While I liked the idea of the 'multiple BoP sizes,' I don't believe there was any indication, in dialogue or on a display, that the larger BoP was supposed to be a K'Vort and the smaller ones were B'rels. As for the larger one, the differences seemed to be double-hulled wings, a front section reminiscent of the D5 from ENT, and some superstructure on top of the ship.
For them, it's the "Post Nemesis" era within StarFleet culture; so the Cali-class seems to have been designed during the TNG-era, where they were at a all time high in terms of optimism & arrogancce of their safey. Also, something tech-wise that has always annoyed me about LDS is their consistent attitude that the Cerritos and the California class in general are considered old, obsolete, and looked down upon by Starfleet. The design of the ship, both interior and exterior, seems to negate this idea. Based on multiple factors, the Calis seem to be no older than ships produced during the middle of TNG. I could understand if they opted for the ship to be from the TMP era or something, but I just don't really buy the whole idea they've been pushing about the class's 'lower-class' status.
I can picture the additional wings being added after Klingon engineers discovered a flaw when enlarging the B'rel design. It needed the extra structural support to efficiently move through the different flight modes. You mean Converging Bi-Plane Wings.
It's definitely one of my favorite Kit-Bashes that I've seen.
“And you won’t believe how fast you can get back. Well, the time barrier’s been broken. Our new ships can…” - The Cage. What is ‘modern’ warp drive?
Freaky coincidence, just as that was being posted, Doug Drexler posted some new (to me) promo art of the NX-01 with that tagline.“And you won’t believe how fast you can get back. Well, the time barrier’s been broken. Our new ships can…” - The Cage.
