I know Jonathon Frakes suffered with back pain and that is the reason why he leans on consoles and puts his leg up, but every time he does it or steps over the back of a chair, really cracks me up.

Do you think the writers encouraged this during the Series? If I was sat at Ops or at the helm, I would feel a little intimidated by his stance.
