Wonder why they are burning through airing all the first season episodes by the end of this year?

I'm happy about that because if Fox thinks Orville is good enough to continue it may green light other space operas too.

As for Orville continuing, I guess that's a good thing too. Better show than what it'd probably be replaced with.

TrekToday is correct. I am pleased.

Probably not Fox, but other venues might. And maybe this will start a trend of stories with meaning and spaceships with ceiling lights.

The Expanse is great.

Killjoys had a really good first season then got...weird.

Basically, going from a gritty story about mercenaries in a crap universe to alien goo monsters.

This is OUTSTANDING news! This is a scifi show , that is a must watch for me that hasn't been since on TV , since Star Trek Voyager ended. Ha, and people say that "traditional" Star Trek is dead. A post Nemesis show could work with the right people behind it.

I love the Orville's characters and universe, though at times the comedy in the the first three episodes was slightly off putting. while still enjoyable. Now with in the last 3 episodes the writers found a better balance. I really like the Krill. I can' wait for season 2!

I gave up on The Expanse and Killjoys after one season each, but enjoying The Orville a lot. Glad it got renewed. Dark Matter was OK but got canceled. But with Orville and Discovery I am getting my needed dosage of space shows. Good times. :)

I gave up on The Expanse after about two episodes-- it was so boring that I couldn't remember the beginning of an episode by the end. And I've tried Killjoys a couple of times, because a friend of mine likes it and because I like that guy who used to be in Warehouse 13, but it's got an adolescent vibe that I just can't take. And both shows are visually bland. The best of the current Space Operas was Dark Matter, and the idiots cancelled that one.
