The Most Disliked Episode of VOY, 2023 Edition - Season 6...

I'll save "Fair Haven". Not saying it doesn't have its issues, but it also has Captain Janeway deleting the wife.

"THE VOYAGER CONSPIRACY"
"VIRTUOSO"
"COLLECTIVE"
"SPIRIT FOLK"
"GOOD SHEPHERD"
"FURY"
"THE HAUNTING OF DECK TWELVE"
"UNIMATRIX ZERO"

Saving "THE HAUNTING OF DECK TWELVE".

I like horror, and this had a great creepy vibe. And Halloween is coming up, so this needs to be saved.

And rewatched.

"THE VOYAGER CONSPIRACY"
"VIRTUOSO"
"COLLECTIVE"
"SPIRIT FOLK"
"GOOD SHEPHERD"
"FURY"
"UNIMATRIX ZERO"

It's a bit of a poor man's Lower Decks, but Good Shepherd has enough about it to warrant saving it.

"THE VOYAGER CONSPIRACY"
"VIRTUOSO"
"SPIRIT FOLK"
"FURY"
"UNIMATRIX ZERO"

Oh, there is but one:

"FURY"

The story ultimately turned out to be a mess that needed more depth for her to "turn bad", but - damn - did it start out extremely well or what?

(And not because Kes is in a set re-use of a small ship cockpit that was used at least twice in previous reasons; seeing her pull this stunt is indeed worthy of a sweeps-week event.)

Also, note to self: When eating beans, don't light a match back there afterward.

But, messes aside, the Vidiian threat remained compelling:

(Look closely and you'll see some folk doin' the Macarena, at warp speed, while eatin' macaroni)

But making Kes out as a villain when she wasn't, and then the gimmicks to turn that around (from what I recall) -- as usual for latter-era Trek, it might have been more interesting if Kes was genuinely a baddie. Then again, it's latter-era Trek. There's always a new way to make a reset button.

I'm liking your post because of your use of the Macarena. "FURY" is just such trash, I recently put it in the short list of worst episode in the franchise.

My final save for this season is "THE VOYAGER CONSPIRACY".

I simply can't vote for the others because one damages The Doctor's character REALLY badly by making him such a dick, another completely defanged the Borg and assimilation as a horrible and terrible thing, and another is just a train wreck of an episode.

"VIRTUOSO"
"SPIRIT FOLK"
"UNIMATRIX ZERO"

I'll save "Virtuoso." Kind of a kernel of an interesting idea there. There are usually few things I hate more than a "will this series regular leave the ship forever?!?" episode, but with the Doctor it raises some unique issues.

"SPIRIT FOLK"
"UNIMATRIX ZERO"

A worthy winner of this contest (though it can argued that several from this season deserve to be crowned), "SPIRIT FOLK" wins season 6.

Fun fact: this is the fourth time this episode has won season 6. 2021 was the only year it missed and didn't get runner up.

I will start season 7 in a couple hours. Hope to see everyomlne there.

Thank you all for playing.
