The Delta Flyers Podcast

Anyone else listening to this? I'm listening on Spotify. I'm quite enjoying it so far - they're rewatching all the episodes in order.

Is it any good? Are they just recapping the episodes or deep-diving into them?
I've only listened to the first two episodes, but so far, they've been delving pretty deep into behind-the-scenes details as well as their thoughts on the episodes; what works and what doesn't, character motivations, stuff like that. It's pretty interesting.

Thanks, that sounds nice.

I'll merge this thread with the other one going. I listened to the first podcast. I was kind of hoping for more discussion on the actual episode with some behind the scenes. Maybe they've gotten better.

Yea this isn't a typical fan based recapping. They may talk about some basic plot, and things they liked/disliked a little but its also allot of reminiscing and behind the scenes stuff too. Its pretty causal and laid back 30-40 minute conversation each week. They have extra stuff they do for Patreon's but haven't herd any of that.

Haven't watched much of Voyager for a long time so getting quite a kick out of this. I think it's a good idea to listen to the podcast ep and then rewatch the episode if you can, which you'll probably then see in a whole new light. I'm quite looking forward to their takes on some of the big episodes, and major events like Kes Leaving, 7 of 9 joining, etc.

WARP PARTICLES!!!!
Akoochimoya ;)

Hair straight and raven black. Eyes bright with fierce fire. The burning gaze of a hero... Garret Wang!

They had some issues with the last two episodes of season 1, I can definitely see their points although as a random viewer although not perfect I liked them I think learning curve was a solid Tuvok story. Chakotay's awkward punch was just fun to watch

Side note I got a few of the delta flyers shirts they are top notch

I have been listening in every week as part of a re-watch of the entire show. Its been SO enjoyable!

So for anybody who doesn't know The Delta Flyers is a podcast by Garret Wang and Robbie Duncan McNeil where they watch every episode of Voyager in order and talk about it. They have good guests as well.

An interesting and funny moment so far for me: Its episode 9 of season two "Tattoo" So they call Bob Picardo to ask him a question and Bob is on a trail in Northern California riding his mountain bike. You can hear noise and its obvious he's fallen off the bike while talking to them (he was fine except for a scratch) Everybody got a good laugh!

Its been just amazing and I post this in case anybody doesn't know about it

Previous thread here. I quite enjoyed the eps I listened to, but, since I'm not very familiar with early Voyager, it soon became a case of diminishing returns. I'd like to do a series run-through while keeping up with the podcasts someday, though.

Hysterical. Poor Robert Picardo. I'm gonna have to listen to some of them. Wish I knew before I started to rewatch Voyager. I'm midway through season 4 and I have to say the show really picked up at that point. Year of Hell is an excellent episode.
