looks good.
Described as a post-apocalyptic thriller involving a future impacted by a war between humans and AI.
Well, since it's neither a reboot or a sequel, the marketing people were absolutely confused and didn't know how to advertise itHow did this fly under the radar like that? Never heard of it before. It looks amazing!!

They changed the title right before the marketing push started a few weeks ago, so it's possible you have heard it mentioned somewhere.
Really? Do you know what the title was before they changed it?
I believe it was called 'True Love'.
ETA: Yeah, it was: https://collider.com/gareth-edwards-true-love-new-title-the-creator/
Trailer is a bit too generic for my liking. Curious but not excited.
Oh, I know. But it isn't the trailer but the design language of the robots, the AI storyline, the war, etc. The trailer is fine for what it's meant to do; generate discussion. But, the actual world? No, limited interest. You mean like how basically ALL trailers these days are generic? Made to follow certain beats people are drawn to?
Remember, directors and creators of movies DON'T make the trailers. There's companies that make them for studios. They know what people want in trailers to grab their attention. Doesn't always work, but still.
Edwards also directed the first Monsterverse Godzilla movie.Directed by Gareth Edwards of Rogue One and Monsters (which I still need to see).
Score by Michael Giacchino.
One hell of a cast.
I'm in. Definitely.
- John David Washington
- Gemma Chan
- Allison Janney
- Ralph Ineson
- Ken Watanabe
- Sturgill Simpson
- Marc Menchaca

I like Gareth Edwards, but I’m really tired of AI-rises-to-kill-us-all stories — both because I think that’s silly, and because now that we may be on the cusp of the beginnings of actual AI, we shouldn’t be whipping up this kind of hysteria.
I understand little about AI. I wished there were more movies showing AI as being chill and developed in positive ways. Not that they would be perfect but possibly more collaborative/rational than the human race.I like Gareth Edwards, but I’m really tired of AI-rises-to-kill-us-all stories — both because I think that’s silly, and because now that we may be on the cusp of the beginnings of actual AI, we shouldn’t be whipping up this kind of hysteria.
looks good.
It looks to me like there’s more to it than that. We get glimpses of the robots playing sports and living ordinary lives.I like Gareth Edwards, but I’m really tired of AI-rises-to-kill-us-all stories — both because I think that’s silly, and because now that we may be on the cusp of the beginnings of actual AI, we shouldn’t be whipping up this kind of hysteria.
