Surely something good happened to you today

Was boiling hot today so sitting in the lounge room in front of the air conditioner. Flicked the TV on and Short Circuit had just started. That movie sucks me in every time so ended up watching it and wondering why we don't have nice movies like this anymore. It was wholesome.

I LOVE going to the psychiatry, I lost 3,5 kg, I'm eating more fruit, I'm exercising more, my mental health has improved loads. My depression is covered by my health insurance, so I can get a replacement income from my health insurance AND I can combine it with my disability income.

I'm seriously searching if I can get unqualified for working, because now I don't have to worry about my income. The only thing I have to do is find a type of volunteer work I can do multiple days, and I can finally save for later when I'm old and need to go to a nursing home or something like that

Dina liked one of my tweets. :adore:

It was about Starship Troopers. I said how much I loved the film and that I don't think I've ever seen one where the cast are more obviously enjoying themselves.

Seriously. I absolutely understand the point of the film. I GET IT. It's warning us about the dangers of fascism and all that. But movies like this - with a serious message - can still be a lot of fun to make AND watch. And clearly it was. They must all have been having the time of their lives.

And when Diz died.... :wah:

Away from home dog-sitting.

I was out this morning about 8am with the dogs and saw two barn owls. The first one was just sitting on the fence and we stopped so as not to frighten it. Then it flew off and was hunting along the edge of the field. There was a second owl in the trees and it, too, started hunting. Saw it do the "swoop" that suggests it was successful finding prey.

Both pleased and surprised by the sightings.

I'm got invited for an interview next Friday, it's not for a job but for cohabitation for disabled people. I'm crossing my fingers that I have it, because I'm sick and tired of being alone, having nothing to come home to and no one's whose waiting for me or who's happy to see me when I'm home. So wish me luck

In the last few days we've managed to get both procedures that will get rid of my kidney stone scheduled, so if I'm lucky by end of next month all of this will finally be resolved. But I will still need one more procedure to get the tube that they will be putting in my bladder in the first procedure removed.
