Well, tonight's the season finale, good people. I'm wondering how they're going to weasel their way out of the deal. Should make for some excellent viewing and some brother angst supreme. :bolian:

I am very, very nervous about tonight. Unlike last year where I knew what was going to happen.

I didn't even watch the clips offered on the CW site for this week.

Does Dean die? Does Sam use his abilities? Does he go all evil (hot)? Does the episode end, one second before the deal runs out (God, I hope not, but with my luck)? Hell does Dean do something stupid like kill himself to prevent Sam from doing something stupid?

God i it 9pm yet (and yes I have 3 plus hours left). Don't check out PbP on the other site. Don't check out PbP on the other site......

Oh and get more ratings this week please, please, please, please......

Two words describe this episode.

HOLY SHIT!!!!

I thought the gutsy move would have been to have them fail to save Dean, but I really didn't think they'd go through with it. And Sam manifesting his powers like that... cool.

The body Ruby was using is free now, so if they decide to keep the character of Ruby, they can recast.

I also loved the Twilight Zone tribute, with Lilith reenacting the original TZ episode "It's a Good Life." Classic move by the cast.

This episode gets an A+ for ending it the way they did. September can't come fast enough.

Still haven't cheated (but I might before it hits the west coast).

It was pretty much spoiled in a interview that Sam was getting his powers back. I thought two possibilities. Seeing Dean die would trigger them (after all its what done it before, seeing a person he loves first Jess bringing forth the visions, then seeing Dean die bringing out telekinesis).

But I also thought, maybe not. Has Sam been working with Ruby to bring out his abilities as one of the things he hasn't been talking about with Dean. I think that would be all kinds of awesome if true.

God 1 hour and 45 minutes.....stay away from supernatural.tv and TWOP....stay away....resist....resist.......

OK, I am weak......I peaked.....

Sounds absolutely wonderful/terrible all at the same time. Awesome.

Jared Padalecki is excruciatingly handsome when he cries. He makes me want to throw him to the floor and have my way with him, he's so beautiful.

Did that pique your interest, mswood honey?

That was a really awesome episode of Supernatural. An episode just packed with material, and yet unlike an episode like Magnificent Seven, it didn't fill rushed nor did any aspect of the plot feel forced.

What an emotional roller coaster ride. Going from all over the place with the guys. Ending with a complete punch to the gut with Dean's nice death (Try that one Buffy). I loved the imagery of dragging Dean down to hell with Chains hooked into him.

Performance wise, the principal actors did awesome. And While I thought both were great last week (especially Jensen), this week Jared really, really nailed his performance, and its not often that this actor can deliver a performance equal to Jensen at his best. But both of them were simply note perfect. Singer is always good. And Cassidy, gave her best performance for the show. THe guest cast was rather slight with nothing special about their performance, but nothing bad either (certainly far above the typical first season guest cast).

For all the complaints this season has gotten. In 16 episodes we have got 5 great episode. With episode like Fresh Blood, A Very Supernatural Christmas, Jus In Belo, Time is on My Side and tonight's No Rest for the Wicked. Easily out class the best 5 of the first 16 episodes of either season 1 or two.

These last two episode certainly were all around, superior to All Hell Breaks Loose (which if it wasn't for some great Dean scenes and a great Dean/ Bobby scene would just be simply average), and I think I like these two better then Salvation and Devil's Trap.

Just a great way to end such a shortened and rushed season.

Here's hoping some people actually watched it tonight, because, really a great, great episode.

It was good, wasn't it? Dean screaming for Sam to help him at the end when he was trussed on meathooks---truly awful. Isn't that Dean Winchester's version of hell, though? To be left all alone. It's what he fears most.

I wanted to know why Lilith couldn't kill Sam when she tried. She looked genuinely puzzled. Sam was gonna take care of her with that knife but good.

Wow, truly awesome ep. God I love this show. It's just a crying shame we didn't get a full season, but hopefully next season will truly kick ass.

Meat hooks. They were meat hooks. :cardie:
With Dean trusted up all Hellraiser-style, I cant help but wonder if we'll get our horror movie crossover early season four: Supernatural Vs Hellraiser.

And it looks like my theory about Lucifer being reincarnated through the human race time and again, and Sam being his latest life, may actually be spot on.

Can't wait for Season 4... once again Supernat pissed all over Smallville.

That was a harsh ending for Dean. I hoped that was how the season would end, but I thought they wouldn't go for a downer ending like that, so they get a :techman: from me.

I haven't really been following this series but I took at look at the last five minutes. So is it part of Supernatural's mythology that it would be possible for Sam to travel to Hell and rescue Dean personally?

Or maybe Sam can pretend to be that other Sam from Reaper, and look at Satan with those "puppy dog eyes" and get Satan to let Dean go that way. ;)

There are Hellgates from which souls can escape hell, so I suppose it might be possible to get in to hell through them.
Their dad managed to escape hell when a hellgate got opened, but he was still dead, so that might not be too helpful.
