STNG 20th anniversary DVD....great...but....

Is this pretty much a "Best of TNG" set? Does anyone know what episodes will be on it?

New goodies, oh boy. I haven't seen the original interviews and stuff yet since I don't own the DVDs. But I'm definetly dork enough, I even listen through the films with each of the commentaries. Actually Mike Okuda's text commentaries are the best. There definetly needs to be a U.S.S. Okuda made canon, if it hasn't already been done!

No, it's a repackaging of the whole series, except in one box, possibly minus the "Mission Overviews" but with a new bonus disc which is rumoured to be an entire season's footage of Michael Dorn's vegetable garden :rommie:

I only ever bought the first season of The Next Generation on DVD, so in spite of the fact that there may be a remastered set coming, I might pick this set up for myself for Christmas, if I can afford it. It's ridiculously cheap compared to hunting down every season seperately (Amazon is advertising this for only three hundred dollars, which is even less than the slashed prices Paramount re-released the old sets at) and you just know that any "remastered" TNG is going to cost more than I spend on food in a month per season.

Ya I say get it now. Not only will one season likely be as much as this entire set if it is ever remastered but also it will be a LONG time before all 7 seasons are remastered. I mean look how long they have been working on TOS remastered and that show was only 3 seasons long!

It's green. Odd choice of colour, to my mind, given that green isn't a colour I much associate with TNG. But it's just me being picky. If I didn't already have the sets I'd probably ask Father Christmas for this.

Really? It's the first color I associate, given that Star Trek is paramount's cash cow, and money in the US is green.
