Anyone who thought Kirk upstaged Pike in Season 1 must have been watching a different show.
Even in La'an's episode this season, she was still the centre of everything, Kirk never took over.
I imagine in this episode it will be the same, Uhura will be the star, Kirk will be supporting.

I think it's going to be Bruce Horak (Hemmer) as another Aenar. He's scheduled to come back this season as a guest star and this would be the perfect opportunity, as Aenar use their other senses to compensate for lack of sight.
