Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

They are running an ad spend so much and save 10, 15 or 20%. Currently I haven't been able to get anything to take the discount so be careful, talked to Customer service and they said they had no control over it (seriously). And that they couldn't figure why nothing was showing a discount, nor could they make the adjustment.

And issues 178, 179 and 180 are now available for order from the online site.

^ A lot of items in the shop aren't eligible for any discounts most of them should have a disclaimer in bold print declaring this (mainly the Disco, shop exclusive and XL ships). Last year they ran a $15 voucher promo that I never got so I'd avoid that promo.

Yes, typically anything that promo codes or specials don't work on used to have a line in the description of the item.

This time nothing I tried to order indicated the special didn't work. I even tried ordering some old ships going back to the first two years of the collection, just to see if I could find anything that would get a discount, I was unsuccessful.

The typical XL, Specials and exclusives not getting promo discounts, is why I made sure to mention several that were working with the last promo code, because its so rare. And all the ones that I did get the last promo code to work with did have the disclaimer stating promo codes wouldn't work, so I was even more surprised.

No, we got the ones from the trilogy.

This is the scout ship first seen in "Past Prologue".

We definitely didn't get the three Bajoran ships that board DS9 in DS9's Siege. We did get the two man fighter, the Troop Carrier. But the ships that dock with DS9 have nacelles. The other Bajoran ship released (the one that was also Pirate Ship in Unification 1) didn't have nacelles, I think those were the ones destroyed in TNG's Ensign Ro episode.

The ships that board DS9 are only shot from the bottom, so I can't confirm if its the same ship, in the link, but they look awfully close.

Just got the final three ships, kind of sad, spouse was about to throw a celebration party until, I said they are still making more just not a regular schedule.

I tried to make a little comparison chart showing what the nacelles of the various Excelsior class models looked like (from the side).
The regular Eaglemoss model already wasn't very accurate, but what were they thinking when they designed the XL version?

Not my favorite subset of models, and from a less-than-stellar movie (IMO), but I am truly amazed and impressed at what a fantastic job they did reproducing the organic complexity of these ships from scratch after the original meshes have been long since lost. The paint job is a little dull (then again the originals’ color palette was a bit dull-looking as well, to my recollection), but the model overall looks awesome.

Still works for me in Germany. £32.99 / 44,99 €, to be released in December. The picture is now on Memory Alpha as well.

I think it looks pretty good from this angle, but I'm going to have to compare the orthographic renders... The recreated Son'a flagship wasn't perfect either despite the good reference pictures.

Playing back through the Fed campaign in STO on a new character, and if Eaglemoss are still taking suggestions PLEASE do the Exeter-class ship BUT using the nacelles from the Excalibur-Class.

For those not in the know, the Excalibur was the ship that featured heavily in promo imagery for STO, being a 25th Century "homage" to the Constitution-Class. However, it never quite looked right. The Exeter was added a few years in, and the hull looks much more like a TNG-update of the Connie, but the nacelles look like an Excelsior.

Merge the two, however, and you have a modern-looking Connie with Sovereign-era nacelles and it is goddamn beautiful...

I'd love to get the Excalibur from the old Star Trek: Bridge Commander mods.

I don't think I recognize any of those besides the captain's yacht, which looks pretty cool. Will probably wait to get it individually from ebay, however.

1. Ent-D Captain’s yacht
2. Cyrano Jones’s Spacematic from “Trials and Tribble-ations”
3. Starbase shuttle from “1110011100”
4. Cargo shuttle from the TNG Tech Manual

I'm kind of surprised that Janeway's SC-4 shuttle isn't in this. And that the Enterprise D captain's yacht is, even though both the Cousteau and the Aeroshuttle were regular sized models. And still no ENT inspection pod...
