Star Trek in LEGO?

With LEGO doing Star Wars I had wondered a long time ago about making Star Trek sets out of my LEGO's. My current creations have a little Star Trek influence. Specifically in this set I have a command base with a power core heavily influenced by TMP's engine room. I took off the one wall to take the pics. What do you think?

 As i Lego fan i must say Lego-rific :)

and cool Models you also have there :)

I have made several different Star Trek related LEGO items. At the following link you can check them out. Included there is a hypospray, tricorder, and two starship designs.

My Trek designs

Most of my Lego stuff is more basic sci-fi, but I used to do a few Trek models every now and then.

Something I would love to see is LEGO or some toy company make a bucket of parts that can be used to create Starfleet-type starships. The bucket could contain saucer section pieces, different types of warp nacelles, various connector struts and engineering hull pieces.

They would probably do that in a set, but some fans no doubt already feel that modern Legos are starting to lose their universal components a bit. If you look at modern sets, you see more and more specialized components than was true a decade ago. I found in my own kitbashing that I could make halfway decent versions of some components, like a TNG era nacelle. On a small scale of course.

I have made a miniture Enterprise, Reliant, Klingon Bird of Prey and Klingon Battlecruiser. I currently only have the Enterprise and Reliant built. I may do more and take pics. I don't like the Reliant as it is more boxy that it should be but............

I always liked the BOP, but have found it challenging to build because of the curved nose section. If you use Legos and some of the larger angled bricks, then you have a fairly large command pod and have to scale the rest of the ship accordingly. You can't really use the smaller narrow angle bricks to create the pod, because they're narrow. I was able to make a decent D7 though.

Lego Trek would be great! Imagine the cool little Lego guys?

Did you know they're making Indiana Jones Legos? They've made spider-man, batman now. Might as well do spock and Kirk.

I'd say the best source would be this thread on another board, as it has most of the models I've gotten digital pics of. My most recent creation is in another thread.

What do you think of these?
