News Star Trek: Bridge Crew Open To Non-VR Players

U9KlP3j.jpg

This is just an image I grabbed from the web, but that's the Aegis. Proper sexy!

There are only two ships bridges in the game so far, The Ageis and TOS bridge in all it's 60s colour glory, but there are some new things coming one of the dev teams stated recently, so possibly more bridges.

You misunderstood me, I meant; can someone post screenshots of the other ships such as the ones the player doesn't get to play such as the Klingon warships.

I want this game. But, it makes me sad thinking how awesome an Abramsverse TV series would've been. Oh, well... maybe it is out there in an alternate reality somewhere.

It's the class prototype.

@Ghost, I'll try and get some next time I play.

Thanks. I find it annoying that there is actually so very little information about the content of this game on the internet.
No story summary or details on the enemy ships, nothing.

Well I have just taken the plunge and bought the game now that it is not exclusive to VR. If anybody fancies multiplayer at any point let me know! Currently downloading it...

I'd like to finish the single player missions first to get the hang of it, but would very much be up for some multiplayer. Not sure how the organising of it works though, especially being cross-platform.

^^Yes, all they have done is remove the requirements to have VR hadrware to play this game, so be it VR or non VR everything else works the same and everybody can join in on crossplay together, only real difference now is that PS4 users don't get the extra effects menu and features that PC users just got with enhanced lighting, dynamnic shadows, bloom and light shafts.

I'd be all over this if it wasn't primarily a Kelvinverse setting. I like the movies a lot, but can't stand the bridge design. I'd much rather play in the TOS Movie era.

I finished all the solo player missions.... gameplay was quite frustrating at times (due to lengthy delays in switching from one console, like helm to weapons for instance) and short. No proper (or lengthy) storyline like those games i referred to in my initial posts (e.g. Kobayashi Maru / Bridge Commander). I need to get a microphone and will try a multiplayer game to see if that makes it any better!

How's everyone else getting on with it?

I was playing a solo mission last night and my PS4 briefly lost internet connection (I was downloading another game in the background) - it froze, then booted me out to the main menu. Tried to load it back up and it made me start from the beginning of the mission again. As I was over 20 mins in the first time around I turned it off. Don't see why a permanent connection is needed for solo play. Also, I can't get the IBM Watson voice commands to work. Just says they're unavailable when I try and activate them. Shame, as it'd definitely speed things up.

Daedalus5, now that you have finished the game could you summarize the storyline for me?

I don't want Uplay on my computer but even if Bridge Crew did not come with it, I am better off replaying Bridge Commander or Starfleet Academy again?
