So let's discuss Medium, poor Joe

Medium is the show about a lady called Allison Dubois, a fictional account of a real life lady also called Allison Dubois who claimed to be a psychic, and also made claims to have worked with the real life Texas Rangers.

Anyway this is about the TV show Medium which is very creative in some of its episodes, but by the time I got to the end of the series I found myself not liking Allison that much and feeling sorry for her family and her husband. It is a great show and you should watch it. I just felt she didn't take her family's feelings or her husband into consideration some of the time and had to be right in everything which leads to conflict in a lot of episodes, and that side of the character made me not like her so much because you are supposed to root for the main character.

Anyway let's discuss.

I loved Medium and Joe and Allison's relationship is one of my favourites in all media. I really liked the episodic nature of the show and I liked how it would play with time or reality occasionally. Season 2 had the episode with Present day Allison dreaming she was young, and then Season 3 had an episode of Young Allison dreaming she was Present Day Allison. I would always laugh how she would get part of the premonition, then go make some declaration, then get another part, then go make another declaration, then get the the final part, and then has all the story and then go finally beat the bad guy. I was like, haven't you learnt anything, just sit on your hands and until the third dream and then go sort the perp out. I liked it when the kids started getting her powers too and then they have to sort stuff out. When I was watching the "Minority Report" TV show and film I kept thinking those guys got the polar opposite reaction from the "Medium" law enforcement, in that Devalos and Lee were never out to use her and welcomed her input. I don't think the finale was that great but it wasn't terrible. It was weird that her power didn't end up fixing things that time, but since I knew it was coming to an end I wasn't upset or anything. This show was with me for a long time because I started watching back in 2005ish and I took a break somewhere along and then watched some episodes in 2016 and then finally finished it off by 2023, so it was always just "there" for a long time. Joe and Allison always reminded me of my sister and her husband and I just loved they were always there for each other.

Oh they were a very loving couple just in some episodes Allison makes me want to yell at the TV because she sometimes doesn't treat Joe that well since he can't share or relate to her powers and her demands annoy me sometimes. Still a great show and one that I love but hey.

I wonder if it is because of it being a fictional TV show that's why the kids also have her powers? Also Joe has had episodes where he has the odd dreams too so how does that work haha?

Saw clips of the real Allison on Real housewives and the real one is not likeable compared to the TV one which I don't mind so much.
