Deadline reports that Sense8 will return for a "feature-length" season finale on June 8!

In its release, Netflix described the series-ender as follows:

“Personal lives are pushed aside as the cluster, their sidekicks, and some unexpected allies band together for a rescue mission and BPO take-down in order to protect the future of all Sensates.

The highly-anticipated conclusion to the saga of the Sense8 cluster will be revealed when the series finale launches globally on June 8, only on Netflix.”

While I'm still very disappointed the show was canceled, I'm relieved we're getting a proper ending. I don't want to wait any longer, but I'm glad we finally have an air date.

Thanks for the heads up. I really enjoy this show and I’m disappointed in it ending. I’m glad Netflix came to their collective senses and gave the series a proper ending. Too good of a show to go out on a cliffhanger.

Glad to see it's not Aug. for the release as some had speculated (for the Cluster birthday).

I'm sad to see it end, that show means an awful lot to me.
Clearly it meant a lot to many people, enough to force Netflix's hand to produce this finale. Maybe it'll get enough views to earn another season, but I'm doubtful.

Ah, I hadn't seen that speculation. I'm glad it's not that late either.

For the record, Netflix requested a 2 hour wrap up of the series when they cancelled it. But Lana Wachowski declined to do it. It was only after seeing the fan reaction that she changed her mind.
Sarandos revealed that Netflix’s preference is to allow showrunners to tie up loose ends for series with loyal followings. When they dropped the Wachowskis’ sci-fi series “Sense8” in June, they offered a two-hour finale, which was originally rebuffed by Lana Wachowski. “She would have liked to have gone on, but she wasn’t as excited about doing the two-hour [finale],” Sarandos says.

Yet Wachowski reconsidered after a wave of outcry on social media about the show stopping. “The fan influence on her was very helpful,” Sarandos says. “Her desire to have an ending increased a lot.”

Welp, just binged the whole thing.
Ready for the finale.
Sad that it's the finale.

Bumping up as a reminder that the series finale, "Amor Vincit Omnia," is out today. I'll be watching it soon myself.

I've added a spoiler tag and a poll, so feel free to discuss the finale openly in the thread.

So I left it far too long before seeing the rest of the series, so I binge watched it all over a week ago.

I watched the the series finale earlier and if it has to be the last episode, then it's definitely good enough. Lana has apparently written most of season 3 and Netflix hinted the reaction today would infuence them renewing it again. After what I saw on twitter all afternoon I'd hope that's more than enough.
