Spoilers Section 31 ships & props

Khan's old lines about things being 200 years ago seems closer if those events happen closer to the mid-21st century than the end of the 20th century. Also, they remain in "our" future.

SNW's "Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow" already shows that TOS will be different as Khan's birth is moved 40 years later. The Eugenics Wars of the 90s gets bumped to a later date.
And TNG contradicted Spock when talking about World War 3

That is the beauty of "Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow". The timeline has already been mucked with for decades resulting Khan's delayed birth and a delayed Eugenics War and still certain events can still happen in the altered future. And since the time mucking is continuously happening every episode (not just SNW's) can be viewed with the lens that time was tampered with (either fixing or messing with) which can explain for any continuity error that we the viewers perceive, IMHO.

Also, they remain in "our" future.

"Our" timeline never had nuclear orbital platforms fall out of the sky on launch or working cryogenics and I'm not so sure that I'd like "our" future to have a guaranteed nuclear war. YMMV. :)

I concur, our timeline is our own.

Just like Trek's timeline is their own.

Other than alot of base pieces of shared history, it has diverged greatly since the start of the mid 20th century.

I have to admit, I do like the design of San's ship. Probably the only thing I found interesting. :rommie:

So many of those knives seem to be bought from Knife Stores in the Mall that are glorified "Wall Hangers", nobody with a practical combat mind would use half of that stuff.

Typical "Edgy Mall Ninja" junk knives that are all looks, no functionality made out of junk steel formulations.

"All Flash, no Substance" as a knife.

That bottom left knife looks kinda Discovery-Klingon’ish but I don’t recall seeing it before

It’s got the handle of a Mek’leth, but doesn’t look like any of the DSC Mek’leth’s we’ve seen in the past.

There’s a TNG and Picard Bat’leth

There’s a DSC Torchbearer d'k tahg on the right along with the more common design and the Picard version

Most of them have appeared in Trek before. First in Nemesis then later Picard season 1

Probably taken from the CBS archives

Looks like Shinzon's knife is in there along with some other Gil Hibben designs.

Gil Hibben is one of greatest blade designers/makers that ever lived in the modern era. You should show a little more fucking respect and do some research before shit-posting like that.
Yeah, and the Reman/Zhat’vash shadow knives from Nemesis and Picard Season 1, and Vadic's knife in Picard Season 3

I've never heard of him.

Edit:

So after perusing his website, the ST Props Departments hires a talented custom Knife maker to make knife designs that look like showy "Mall Ninja Knives".

-_-. What a waste of this mans talent, to have him make knives that look like that.

Maybe the Katanas and the basket-hilted swords are "Edgy Mall Ninja junk".

But the knives are either from previous Star Trek shows/movies or well known knives from other Sci-Fi/fantasy movies/shows/games.

Especially this one:
