So with the season over and no more shooting until next February at the earliest I thought I'd bring together everything we know about next season in one place. I've stuck with things that were actually seen being shot and avoided speculation (mostly.)
Unlike S1/14 where we knew something about every episode, even if it was just "There's a lot of babies on a space station", they've managed to keep multiple episodes completely secret this time. Even so there's some big spoilers in there, so time to bail out or buckle up.
Christmas Special: The return of the "guest Companion" played this time by woman of the moment Nicola Coughlan. Has scenes set in the present and WW2 both in London and New York. Timothy West also appears as a military officer.
Episode 01: Introduces the new Companion, Belinda, played by Varada Sethu. Features a big robot that wouldn't look out of place in Power Rangers. Was shot simultaneously with Episode 4, and is set in the present, so Ruby and the UNIT characters might be in this one.
Episode 02: Set in Florida in the 1950s. Ruby's not in this one but Mr Flood is, looking the same as she does now. There was also an actor spotted wearing the same outfit that Tecteun was when she met the child Doctor, though it was not the same person. One scene involves the name of of film being blown of a cinema marquee with the letters that remain spelling HARBINGER, which obviously means a lot more now than it did when it was seen back in February.
Episode 03: Nothing!
Episode 04: Ruby heavy, Doctor lite. UNIT returns including Shirley. Introduces Ruby's boyfriend. Features a group of Alien Truthers protesting not just outside UNIT HQ but outside Ruby's house as well. Has a scene where UNIT arrest someone in a fake alien costume. (Rumoured to be a 'False Flag' operation by UNIT to discredit the Truthers.)

Episodes 05 & 06: Nothing, and nothing!
Episodes 07 & 08: Set in an alternate present where the UK is a fascist state with heavy 1984 influences. Everyone is playing a different version of themselves; the Doctor is a businessman called Mr. Smith, Shirley is homeless (as are apparently all people with disabilities) and Ruby's boyfriend is propaganda figure for the State.
The one exception is Ruby who is seen at one point being dismissed as crazy by the Doctor and Mel when she tries to talk to them. And what's really interesting is that she's wearing the same clothes she has on in Episode 04. Now while it's normal for you and I to wear the same thing more than once, not so much for characters on TV. So it's possible that something happens at the end of that episode that sends her a short way into the future skipping the moment things change.
And that's it. I was going to say we might get a return of Rogue in one of the unknown episodes but Jonathan Groff has been on Broadway for almost all of the the time S2 was shooting.
