While we wait to find out if this show is cancelled or renewed, which season do you prefer, S1 or S2? I feel like the show is just one big story split into two halves. S1 represents finding a way off space prison, trying to figure out what to do with their new ship, finding out it's weaponized, realizing they can't go to the Federation, and moving on to being do-gooders.
Season 2 is almost a whole new show. Now the stage is our heroic characters as Starfleet cadets on Voyager-A and the story revolves around rescuing Chakotay, preserving the timeline, and dodging Stephen King's langoliers. I hate that Chakotay was trapped alone for a decade and that birdman still died despite the timeline changing. Think about it. 7 years on Voyager in the Delta Quadrant, then a decade marooned with no one and a "dead" Protostar for shelter. This man got it rough. When he returned to Voyager, he acted like it'd only been a month.
I've seen the first 10 episodes twice over, the rest of the series exactly once. I kind of want to go back and watch this again.
I love Dal. His make shit up as he goes and things like popping out the airlock on the wrong end of the ship. I relate to his character and his high optimism.
