I'M GOING TO HELP THE FEDERATION TRY TO MAKE LASTING PEACE WITH THE ROMULANS.

They teased it in Nemesis, then snatched it away from us again in Star Trek XI. It's time we took control of this situation ourselves.

And that's exactly what the Outpost Eden fleet will be doing this year, and long into the future. We are a brand new Star Trek Play By Email RPG group based on a solid core of experienced role players. On January 16th (Stardate 293901.16) we will be launching 2 groups One based at a newly constructed Federation outpost in what used to be the Romulan Neutral Zone. One based on a starship commanded by the first Ferengi CO in the fleet. Both attempting to maintain the beginnings of a quadrant-defining and unpecedented treaty that could mean life or death for the Star Empire!

It's the year 2392, Romulus and Remas are no more, the Enterprise-E has been decommissioned, and it's a time of change for the Federation and the rest of the Galaxy. Starbase 400 is a Space Dock type station orbiting Kaleb IV in Beta Quadrant, which sits close to Klingon, Romulan, Gorn, Tholian, and Krazzle territories as well as open space and the unclaimed 'Triangle', home to pirates and criminals. Starbase 400 has become key to the Federation's future and is home to a variety of Support ships.

Simming continuously since 1995, Starbase 400 has developed a vast backstory, complete with two dozen permanent NPCs, a fleet of ships, and a dangerous intersection of space to defend. To support its in character universe, Starbase 400 maintains an academy, a database, a timeline of sim canon, and logs of each mission to ensure members are informed. Infused with a focus on character development and realistic storytelling, these factors combine, producing an intensely vibrant sim.

Emperor Tiberius Kirk vanished then returned with a ship from another, distant time. He took back his throne and annihilated Spock’s feeble Resistance. Currently, the Vanguard has been assigned to patrol the Delta Quadrant as part of the Delta Exploration Initiative. Several races inhabit this area including the Vaadwuar, a highly militarized and aggressive race. Starfleet's best will be needed to ensure the successful completion of this mission.

Our Current Mission, Rogue Element:

A Cardassian by the name of Suntak has amassed a small fleet of outlaws mercenaries and bandits in the Iconnu region in recent months and has begun to attack freighters and other small craft raiding them of cargo and any technology they can grab. He was kept on the radar but not considered a threat until today. Suntak and a small fleet of ships ranging from shuttles to frigates stolen from various races and acquired through other means attacked the USS Montana, an intrepid class starship, crippling her before she could get a distress signal out. This gave them the opportunity to raid her cargo bays and weapon stores. Luckily casualties were light but the raiding party made off with all of the ships cargo and weapons including phaser banks, quantum torpedoes, and photon torpedoes. Suntak cannot be allowed to use these weapons or sell them off as this will result in a massive breach of technological security for the Federation. The Vanguard is tasked with hunting down Suntak and his band of misfits and bringing them to justice by any means necessary. The balance of the region rests on the success of this mission.

Our Mission Progress so far:

The Vanguard arrived in the area and immediately began its search for Suntak and his people. A small Ferengi freighter was found attacked and stripped of its cargo. A shuttle was fitted with a false signature to give the impression of a weak transport luring an enemy ship in where the Vanguard ambushed it and captured the ship taking the crew captive. Meanwhile the Vanguard has followed a lead allowing them to capture the illusive Ferengi bandit Vetran. After a failed suicide attempt Vetran , making a full recovery, has been interrogated by Vladimir and the Intelligence Officer Lieutenant Klein. Through their efforts of utilizing false threats Vetran has revealed the location of a base where Suntak may be hiding.

Excitement such as: records searches, report writing, Death by PowerPoint all day training lectures and, oh yeah, contraband inspection, high risk extractions, boarding parties and code enforcement! As you might have guessed, the Molon Labe isn't your typical Star Trek simm! It's a simm based on characters and for characters. Player driven and focused, it has openings for all the standard, traditional roles as well! In fact, because of the nature of the simm, the Security and Tactical position has been split into separate departments!

I'm LCDR Krzysztof Uziel, Commanding Officer of the USS Cassini, the latest Nova-class starship to be commissioned in OF! We're a character and exploration-driven sim to seek out all that the galaxy holds for us and in the places the larger vessel's can't be bothered with. We're a small ship, so with that comes close quarters, cross-utilization of personnel (since there's not a lot out of 90!) and as much amenity one could jam into the space-frame of 8-decks. So you're a fan of telling your character's story, collaborating with others and with a backdrop of classic Trek storytelling, then the Cassini would love to have you aboard!
