General Hospital is a Soap Opera, as we all know. But it also qualifies as a scifi production..how so? Because back in the day General Hospital would veer off into Scifi elements. Huh? Its true..

John Colicos (Baltar-Kor) played an evil dude who had a weather machine and threatened to freeze the world. Yep..this plot, as whacko as it seems, was on General Hospital. (no, Jamie and Steve and the OSI were not involved)

In one of the more idiotic storylines, an Alien (think Jeff Bridge's Starman) came to Earth. It was silly, dumb, moronic. But it did happen..

For sometime now, however, General Hospital has become infested with mobsters like Sonny Corinthos. I stopped watching the show back in 1992 when my favorite character, super spy Robert Scorpio, was killed off.

I only came back two years ago when it turned out he was still alive and was trying to stop the spread of a virus that could have killed...THE WORLD!!! But the writers at General Hospital are so in bed with the mobster stories he left the show...

But now, General Hospital PM (a spin-off that airs ONLY on Soapnet and in HD) has signed him on to return as Robert Scorpio. Antonio Sabato jr (who played Jagger) will also return as well, and they both join Billy Dee Williams (Lando himself) on this night-time show.

Yes, I know..probably only one person will care about this besides me..but hey..I had to let "you" know.

It all starts July 27th..so set those DVRS!!!

Actually it does fit into this forum. This is about science and fantasy..so whether it is a soap opera with aliens or walking/living hats in Lidsville, I think it would fit here...just as surely as THE CROW Tv Series that was seen by about four people and is often talked about in this forum..

I liked last summer when Rick Springfield was on for his summer storyline, on both GH shows and Anna Scorpio came back. Finola Hughes is beautiful, can never get enough of her.
