They need to stop making TREK books with Picard/Sisko/Janway (whicn I know will anger you Billy Batson)

That doesn't anger me - it's a sensible suggestion. However....

And ONLY issue books with nuTREK plots.

...is something I'm none too keen on.

Whether Pocket continues to publish books based on the Trek of the 1980s and 1990s will depend primarily - and rather obviously - on sales figures.

I wouldn't bet on them going away any time soon, or on the JJverse taking over the publishing schedule any more than the Shatnerverse has.

Well, Trek has 4 'eras' now, doesn't it? Roddenbery era (TOS, TAS, TMP), Bennett era (the other TOS movies), Berman era (TNG,DS9,VOY,ENT, NG movies) and now Abrams era (ST XI). I don't expect to see Berman Trek ever again on screen. It's just as likely we'll see another Harve Bennett production (i.e: exceedingly unlikely).
