My sister and me at the Woodland Park Zoo during my visit to Seattle this summer:

So I'm back from Japan, obviously. My own thread is long dead now so this is as good a place to announce my triumphant return as any. It was wonderful and I won't go into too much detail, but I do have a couple pictures to post of myself and the girl I spent most of my time with over there. I'm still sorting through/uploading/re-sizing them, so I'll just post the one I like the most for now.

Well, it's nice except for the fact that she squinted her eyes at the last second. We retook it because of that, and maybe I'll stick the other one up later.

Jealousface. Awesome that you had a fun trip :techman:

^ That looks sweet. :)

I'm glad you had a good time!

Heh, yeah absolutely. I was a little nervous meeting her, but after about five minutes together, that all went away. It was a wonderful two weeks, and now we just have to look forward to the next time.

For now here are a couple more pictures.

We found this Godzilla statue in a video store to promote the recent Blu-Ray release of several of the films in the series, including the first and most recent one (the design here is from the most recent one). We wanted to take a picture together in front of it, but the video store employees were already giving us serious evil-eye looks (well, as much as Japanese employees ever do to their costumers) about us using their store as a photo studio, so we settled for two separate ones.

And here is the second attempt at the picture I posted before. You can see the text on her pillow this time and she doesn't look like she's a few seconds from falling asleep, but I like the first one better overall.

I posted about this in the "Latest Purchase" thread but I thought I would share here as well since I took pictures.

I am now the proud owner of "The Legacy Collection" Millennium Falcon. She has tons of great sounds, lights and all kinds of working parts. There are thirteen different buttons and switches hidden all over the outside to make things happen. My favorite is the boarding ramp. It opens by itself and includes lights and sounds. But the rest is equally nifty. The cockpit has its own lights, there are storage areas, working doors, a mini-fighter (just like on the old version), spring loaded missiles, working head lamps, smuggling compartments, laser cannon seat, light-up Dejarik table, medical bay and the engines light up. You also get bits from the movie and sound effects. The best one is where she doesn't start on the first try! Needless to say this thing is AWESOME.

I placed the DVD case next to her for scale. We are talking over 2 1/2 feet long!

Forward hold with the game table and training area.

Now I just need to purchase Princess Leia and a house to display/store all this crap in and I will be styling. :bolian:

Yay, you bought it! I'm so proud! :-)

You mooned the umpire whenever he made a questionable call against the Nats, didn't you?
