Peter Weller

yenny

Fleet Captain
Fleet Captain
Y'all should know that he was on Star Trek Enterprise and he going be in the upcoming Star Trek movie. He played John Frederick Paxton, the guy that threaten to destroy starfleet headquarters. Unless all aliens out of the solar system within 24 hours. Y'all should know Peter Weller is? Do any of you remember the Robocop movies?

Maybe? But maybe he playing the same character he had played on Enterprise?

Considering that the new movie takes place 100 years after Star Trek: Enterprise, I would guess not, unless his scenes are a flashback to the year 2156. I would strongly doubt that as well.

If it a flashback to the year 2156? Then Khan won't be in star trek XII. But I'm not ruling out that movie start out during that time period.

Perhaps the villains will be the "Johns" from the Planet Ten (John Bigbooté, John Worfin, John Ya Ya, etc.)

Obviously the movie is a remake of Patterns of Force with Peter Weller as John Gill and Benedict Cumberbatch as Melakon.

I didn't thought of this at first. But he will be the right age to play Captain April. I'm not saying he is.

How ...(be polite)...intriguing that you guys can recall the name of a one-time, non-famous guest star from a terrible episode of 60's Trek. :vulcan:

Far from "non-famous". LINK

The man's fame preceded his appearance on Trek by a long shot. That such a famous non-actor played an actual role (and not just a quickie cameo) on a weekly television drama, was in and of itself, quite unique. That he appeared in such a horrifically bad episode of Trek makes it all the more so. As such, there's absolutely nothing remotely "intriguing" about fans of a show recalling the names of famous people who were involved in a highly unique situation.

Quite right. If Gorgon was played by some 1960s character actor -- even a relatively known face -- we probably would not remember the actor who played Gorogn as well as we do.

The fact that it WAS Melvin Belli playing Gorgon is a specific reason why we remember.

It seem like y'all don't believe that Peter Weller is going be in star trek XII. Beside Gargon was in And the Children Shall Lead, which was a third season episode. The Movie main villain is base on a character from the the first season, which I think it Gary Mitchell. which won't be Peter Weller Character. He will be playing either Admiral Robert, Commodore Matt Decker, Commodore Robert Wesley or a starfleet officer we don't know about.

Gary Mitchell won't be in this movie. He's already been in the comic series, which is directly supervised by Bad Robot not to include anything which will be used in the movie. Therefore, by approving Gary Mitchell to be in the comic, they made it clear he won't be in the movie.

What gave you that silly idea? Has anyone in this thread even hinted that Weller wasn't going to be in it? Pretty much all of us accept that he is going to be in the film, as that fact has been confirmed by TBTB in studio press releases. The only thing that's being debated is what specific role he'll be playing.

No. That's not been confirmed. What TPTB have said is that a character from Trek's first season, (a supposed fan favorite) will make an appearance in the film, but we most assuredly don't know if this appearance will play a major role, let alone be playing the movie's villain. Heck, for all we know, the appearance of this character might be little more than a quick cameo of some character who will only be recognized by die-hard fans of the original series. (Harry Mudd perhaps?)

Moreover, we most certainly have no info implying that Weller will be playing this as of yet undisclosed 1st season character, instead of another character altogether.
