North Star Line-by-Line

Hello, Welcome!

We recently completed The Vulcan Hello & Battle at the Binary Stars thread in the DISC forum!

For any unfamiliar with our "game," you are asked to post only a single line (defined as one character speaking without interruption by another character) per message. You can post as often as you like, but someone else must post a line in between your posts.

Our "rule" is that if the episode has a "To Be Continued..." on the end, it is done in a single thread, but if it's just an arc of related episodes (like the Dominion Occupation Arc on DS9 or the Xindi Arc on ENT), each episode is a separate thread.

Get ready for a story, here we go!

Bennings: I didn't know Skags believed in hell.
(He fires his pistol to spook the horse and the Skag is left kicking alone in the air.)

(For those of you without eidetic memories, here is the "North Star" transcript at Chakoteya)

[One of my fave eps!]

[Main Street - day]

(The dead Skag is coffined.)
MACCREADY: Who's paying for the box?
(The undertaker looks towards the lady schoolteacher.)
MACCREADY: I hope you're not planning to bury him in the cemetery.

MACCREADY: I'm sorry I didn't get there in time to stop them.

BETHANY: And the same people who lynched him would have been sitting on the jury.

MacCready: Bethany, he killed a man. Self-defence or not, that's a hanging offence for a Skag.

(As Bethany walks down the street, a familiar man walks over to a woman wearing a scarf to cover the tips of her ears.)

ARCHER: What have you got?

ARCHER: And the hangings. If these people are from Earth, how the hell did they get here?
(He goes down an alleyway.)
ARCHER: Archer to Enterprise. Report.

[Command center]

REED (continued): The human settlements are clustered within a few hundred kilometers of your location. About six thousand people.

REED: Fewer than a thousand. Their closest encampment is ten kilometers northwest of your present position.
