NFL Football 2009

The Saints, Drew Brees and New Orleans all deserved that win.
Outstanding game all around with some gutsy play calling.

Incredible game. You could tell how hungry the Saints were for that win. I'm a Colts fan, but i have nothing but respect and congrats to the Saints for playing their hearts out and deserving to win the Superbowl. Awesome game.

That might be one of the best Super Bowls ever. Two classy teams leaving it all out on the field in a very clean game that came down really to one big turnover. I had fun watching that game, and I enjoyed that the two teams were the two best teams in the NFL all season long.

On a downside, the outside stuff perfectly sucked. The commercials were horrid all the way around, and the Halftime show shows that The Who need to retire. Man that was not good.

WHO DAT!!!!

It's weird...I didn't even have ANY interest in NFL football until right after Katrina, when I started hoping this day would come for the Saints. And while I hadn't watched games, I always kept an ear out for their scores.

But I am SO thrilled about this! Whether they win or lose in the future...I can say I've got my NFL team picked out for good! :)

Well, I would've lost money on that one. Good for the Saints. If they'd been playing any other AFC team.... yes, even the Tennessee Titans.... I'd be totally jazzed about the outcome of tonight's game. As a Colts fan, however, I have been humbled. The Saints had this thing won after that brilliant decision on Coach Payton's part to go for the onside kick to start the second half. That was sheer genius!

That halftime show is horrible even by the very low standard of Super Bowl halftime shows imo.

The Who looked sloppy. I could talk about them being old or only two members left, but I'm just going to go with sloppy. It was pretty sad (plus, I didn't like the whole medley thing).

Game was interesting. Slow first half, but exciting second. Nice plays, an onside kick, and some defensive stops to seal the deal. I had trouble getting really excited, but that's the case most years.

I wish I could make it to New Orleans for Tuesday. It's gotta be crazy this year.

I love The Who.

That? Was not The Who that I love. :(

Their versions of their own freaking songs sounds like the sloppy covers you hear on crappy Muzak stations in Quick-E-Marts.

Great football game! I must admit that I never really gave the Saints a shot at doing it. The on-side kick was a gutsey call that I think made a huge shift in how the game was going. If nothing else, once the Colts finally got the ball back, it was no longer them extending a pre-existing lead, but trying to get a lead back. The NO defense wasn't as ball-hawking as it had been, but it still came up with one at the most important time. The Indy running game looked surprisingly potent, though I still don't understand why they kept trying to run it at the end. With less than two minutes to go, I would much rather leave the entire game in Manning's hands rather than Addai's hands.

Congrats to the Saints, even if they did manage to make this the most costly football game I've ever wagered on before.

Very nice! Got pretty much everything I wanted out of that one. Good game, some ballsy calls, Peyton Manning Face (http://www.manningface.com/) and it's a cool win for the Saints. Commercials sucked, but hey, can't win 'em all.

Wouldn't have put much money on the Saints, though, so thankfully didn't bet :)

I'm very happy the Saints won. :) I admit that I was perfectly content with them just making it to the Super Bowl; if they had lost, I'd still have been pleased that they had played, but they won! And they played hard and clean, except for the one unnecessary roughness call (which I'm still not sure was intentional on the part of the player, but anyway...)

As happy as I am, you couldn't have paid me to be in the French Quarter last night! I'm sure it was beyond wild.

Congrats to the Saints.
I was for the Colts but hey it was a good game.
The onside kick to start helped get the momentum early. Gutsy call.
Peyton tossing that INT about the 3min mark was the capper.
Those two things I didn't see coming.

Titans, in 2011 baby!!!

I think part of what I enjoyed the most was thinking back on how the Colts pretty much intentionally tanked the "perfect season" goal in order to focus on the Superbowl...and lost. Just desserts, and all that. Threw a very winnable game against the Jets, which not only killed the 16-0 run (a lock, at that point), but allowed the Jets into the playoffs, which screwed up the whole thing, and cost another team a shot at a playoff berth.

Karma? :)

Good game!

The halftime show, not so much. The Who sounded terrible, IMHO.
