UCLA puts Xavier down, but it was tougher than the score looks. Right now, regardless of what happens the rest of the tournament, Kevin Love would HAVE to be on the all-tournament team. Along with Stephen Curry from Davidson. None of this "all Final Four" business.... I mean the whole 65 games!

Now it's time for the game I've been waiting for - UNC vs Louisville! Earlier today, I thought my ISP had screwed up and posted a pre-written article too early. It said "UNC moves past Cardinals in Regional Finals". I thought.... "what the hey? that game doesn't start until 9:00!" Turns out they were referring to the womens game between the same two schools.

Edit: Wow..... game just ended and Louisville really made UNC sweat! Hansbrough had 8 pts in the first half but roared back with 20 in the second half, including some sweet outside shots. The Cardinals came back brilliantly with hustle and a near perfectly executed half court game but could never get the lead.

That may have been the most frightening collection of college talent on the court at the same time since the 1983 (I think) semi-final game between Houston and Louisville.

My respect for Davidson continues to rise. They're hanging tight with Kansas and that's impressive.

Curry's going to see that last shot not going in the basket for a long, long time. If only, if only.....they gave Kansas everything they could handle and then some. To lose by a bucket. Wow.

Give Kansas some serious credit on that last shot, defending things so well. No way were they going to let Curry have anything even remotely close to a decent shot. They defended it perfectly, and the rest of the Davidson team on the floor - except for Richardson, the other guard - didn't move enough to give them any kind of options on a double team.

They didn't look like they were moving much during the game, let alone that final play. However, Davidson had a great run in the tournament and played their hearts out. Nothing to be ashamed of. Next week should be fun and since I'm no longer going to win, I hope UCLA loses.

Not me... I hope UCLA wins, and convincingly.

BTW... two things just occurred to me. We have all four #1 seeds in the Final Four for the first time ever.... I think.

Two... One game next Saturday is UNC vs Kansas.... Roy Williams vs the school he lef to take the UNC job.

I'll be for UCLA to win it all. They haven't won it recently, and UNC has, so out of those two, I'd be happy for UCLA. I wouldn't mind if Kansas or Memphis won either. Bracket-wise, I can finish 3rd if UCLA and UNC play for the title. Nice, but since I can't win it, I won't be too concerned about whether or not UNC makes it to the title game.

Scout is looking good though.

My bracket rose from the dead. That said, I fully expect it'll die again shortly.

I was hoping Davidson would pull it off, even though that would've killed my shot at winning this thing.

I'd have loved to have seen Davidson involved in the Final Four, but it was not to be. Believe it or not, the Final Four is the dullest part of the tourney for me. Usually, any team I really give a crap about is eliminated, there are only a couple of games (vs the craziness of the first two rounds), and we've heard all about the four teams involved for the whole season, plus multiple times each preceding weekend. Hey, Billy - what can you tell us about North Carolina? They any good? This Love kid on UCLA - who is he? Is he any good?

I'm just glad I won't be last anymore!

Seeing 4 number one seeds make it to the Final 4 for the first time is kinda cool, but I'd rather see some Cinderellas make it. Makes for better TV, I think.

Yeah - it's interesting the four #1s made it for the first time, but it stops being interesting after about 1 minute. A Cinderella story or underdog would be interesting a bit longer.

Kinda agreed. The run up TO the Final Four is the best part of the tournament. So much emphasis is given to the regional champs that it's perceived as an achievement equivalent to the national semi-finals. Still, I enjoy those two lead-in games, because the championship game itself is pretty anti-climactic in comparison.

Wow, when was the last time all four #1's made it to the Final Four? I certainly don't remember it happening in my lifetime (although there was a period in the mid-90's when I wasn't paying close attention).

It's never happened before, so this is kind of an interesting final four. I don't really like the hype for it though, since we've heard it pretty much the entire season. That's another reason I kind of wanted Davidson to pull it out.

I'm surprised it never happened. That's cool and all, but I agree with others that it's still pretty boring. I much rather have four double-digit seeds in the Final Four. :D
