Yeah me too. I should have the latest plans up in a couple of hours. I didn't like the door there originally when the passageway was shorter, but the toilets always seemed off to me, so I adjusted them and then the door to the bridge just seemed right.

Is the Endeavour Class an NX-01 variant? I could only find info on the 25th century class of this name.

So I've restarted a project that i begun about 2-3 years ago, Deck plan Blueprints of my own alternative version of the NX01. I wanted a bulkier more retro looking ship that fit into the previous design aesthetics of the era according to TOS and TNG.

I have also started Deck plans for the Daedalus class ship, and when I get sick of working on my NX Alternative, I work on the Daedalus.

It’s my version of the NX class, I’ve always thought the NX Class was too sleek. This design uses elements and ideas from the NX Class.

Yeah, my bad. its almost ten years since I started this thread...... changing computers, changing addresses, changing from 2D to 3D at work just made me lose track of the project.

Oh where is that? Mine is Endeavour Class, not the name of the ship. I have also thought of maybe going with “Explorer Class” or “Investigator Class”.

Soooo what is peoples thoughts on the Captain having two Cabins? I know it is something done in current Navies, a Day Cabin and Port Cabin (names vary), do you think it would be something implemented on an early Trek ship? One a deck below the bridge and one a couple of decks down and on the outer edge of the saucer?

I did find a USS Endeavour on Deviantart that looked like the NX Class but not as sleek, it had a module on the bottom and other bits and bobs, that could be the one?.

Yes. That's the one. The artist never finished it.

In some ways I that this is perhaps a bit more realistic. Multiple power sources; warp, impulse, and ship.

I have a captains Ready Room with small cabin here, but I originally wanted a Cabin for captain on the leading edge of the saucer, do you think I should have both? or just one?

If there's a justifiable reason for "communication control" at the front of the ship, then having the Captain's room on the port side is not bad; it nicely mirrors the other admin stuff on the starboard side.
