Mr Spock - He used the wrong word !

Mr Spock was a great and dignified character and well spoken .

I always admired his dignified demeanor and precise use of language.

When he stood with his hands behind his back it gave him a great dignity.

In one of the episodes he used a word that was not befitting him and was inappropriate.

I was quite shocked and dismayed that the writers made him use that word and not the correct word.

Also Leonard Nimoy should have also pointed it out to the writers or substituted the correct word.

I was going to spell that word out to you but since you are all so knowledgeable I thought it might be best
if you could guess what that word might be and if you are on the same wavelength as me.

In "The Enemy Within" Spock makes the following statement to McCoy when discussing the risks of recombining the 2 separate Kirks:

SPOCK: Being split in two halves is no theory with me, Doctor. I have a human half, you see, as well as an alien half, submerged, constantly at war with each other.

He incorrectly identified his Vulcan half as "alien." Since Spock always seems to identify himself as a Vulcan first, his statement should have been:

SPOCK: Being split in two halves is no theory with me, Doctor. I have a Vulcan half, you see, as well as an alien half, submerged, constantly at war with each other.

"Sensualist : a person devoted to physical, especially sexual, pleasure."

To which McCoy replies, "You bet your pointed ears I am."

There's also this exchange from "The Naked Time":

McCoy wasn't talking about anatomy, which is the structure and arrangement of the body and its parts. Spock should have said ". . . as for my physiology being different from yours, I am delighted."

Okay, I'll take a stab at what the OP is thinking:

"Tomorrow is Yesterday"

Spock says that Capt. Christopher made no "relevant contribution" that the future would depend upon.

Later, Christopher misquotes Spock as supposedly saying no "relative contribution." Spock lets it pass, and dryly says "Poor choice of words on my part."
