Welcome to the Official 2025 Major League Baseball thread.

Enjoy, and as always: GO HALOS!!

:techman:

Not just the A's, but the Rays are also playing in a minor league park. That is going to be strange.

Happy US Opening Day Eve. I'm excited for this year, even though it feels like the inevitable is going to happen (Dodgers buying another championship). Still, the day to day grind of the season is probably the best part. It won't get annoying until the playoffs.

Go Giants.

Devers dug his heels in and said 3B was his position when the Red Sox signed Bregman. Bregman has been announced as the started 3B and Devers the primary DH. Let's see how this one turns out.

Devers to Colorado?

I appreciate Devers' confidence but he's just too much of a defensive liability at third. Moving him to DH is the right move.

That being said, this is the first time since the Mookie trade where I'm actually feeling optimistic going into a new season. The Red Sox surprisingly made a number of good moves over the offseason and they've got some really promising prospects coming up.

Happy US Opening Day Eve.

Happy US - and Canada - Opening Day!

No matter which ballpark, on either side of the border, you might be watching a game at, no doubt you'll hear a familiar song at some point:

Chicago White Sox beat the Angels 8-1 today. I wonder when that gap in run differencial will go down. Still, maybe this year will be better than last year.

Wilmer Flores hit the game winning HR against the Reds. That was fun.

Apparently there was a widespread outage on MLB TV that lasted for hours. A lot of unhappy subscribers.

So weird to see the Rays playing home games outside. I wonder how HR friendly this yard is going to be, considering it's a Spring Training facility.

Nice to see that the Rays aren't changing the name of the stadium, nor are they covering up the statue of the Boss.
