Men and Women in matching green uniforms, (see badges or emblems) appear to be clones, or the same models of AI?

Are they Borg members of Starfleet born from the Alliance with the Queen in PICD S2?

They look to be wearing TOS-inspired uniforms and holding TOS phasers. I'm thinking cultural contamination from a TOS-era Starfleet vessel. Maybe they're Sigma-Iotians.

If someone were to have told me ten years ago that in 2022 there would be five Star Trek series currently running on TV, and that of all five, the only one I'd be looking forward to is a CGI animated show for kids, I'd have said they were crazy.

wearing mixed rank pips.

The producers explained he is a Lieutenant Junior Grade alone on a station, serving as the provisional station manager. I believe there are other instances of additional pips being added to signify other supplementary ranks/status like the Red Squadron pip along with field commission pips in Valiant, O’Brien’s different pips based on his role as an NCO, etc.

Borg cube! Seems to be based off the cube from Picard Season 1.
I wondered at first if it actually was (or rather, what would become) "the artefact", but the drones still seem to be active on it. Wonder how those meddling kids will get out of that one ;)

Picard S2 is set many years after Prodigy. Other suggestions in this thread (sigma-lotian, survivors from a crash,...) seem far more likely. The overarching structure, seen a few times in the trailer, may be a part of a crashed ship.

Interesting they are getting Jellico back. I assume he's been softened in his old age.
That may be a dangerous assumption, considering that Starfleet is supposed to be an antagonist (of sorts) in S1B, with Janeway hunting them. Jellico could potentially be the hardliner even once (if) Janeway gets convinced the intentions of the kids are noble.

Anyway, Jellico was also name dropped in "Lower Decks" S03e01, where he forbade access to active starships for the Zebulon sisters, which does not sound like he has changed. He's a good admiral to prepare for war, but as welcoming committee for the Protostar, perhaps not so much.

Loved the whole even though we're not Starfleet we can still help people... an independent plot line to go along with Janeway hunting them down... Looks really good, and this old geezer is looking forward to a continuation of this "kid's show"!
Same. Looks like a fun mix.

So true!

The impression I get from the trailer is that the first episode of 1B will have them making contact with a remote Federation outpost on that ice planet, and only while there will they realise that they have the weapon on board (maybe Okona, who they also seem to pick up there, may have something to do with that). A nice setup to get Starfleet chasing them (as they "stole the ship" and then ran away after what may seem like an attempt to infiltrate another Starfleet installation).

We will find out more about Dal (the trailer seems to suggest that there may be a connection with the Borg, but that can be misleading suggestive editing) and Gwyn will remember everything, which means that she also will know what happened to Solum. Especially the latter may have far reaching consequences even for season 2.

From Janeway's "who are those (meddling) kids", I wonder if the Dauntless may visit places like that TOS-imitation colony after the Protostar has passed there, and they may hear what the locals have to say about the (presumably) friendly visit. Could be a nice setup for the season finale, where I guess Janeway will finally catch up with them and there may finally be communication.

I would just like to know how Tellarite and Medusan youths ended up in the Delta Quadrant by 2384.
With the writing we have had on the show so far, I'm certain that this will be addressed. Though I think we already know much about Jankom and his sleeper (warp) ship, which would predate the Federation. Janeway and co would probably want to search for this colony, once they learn about (and get on top of) the whole Protostar situation.

I think it was mentioned in an interview that the differences between 5-finger and 3-finger Tellarites would be explored in S1B (the Dauntless also has a Tellarite on the crew, in addition to that suspicious Trill ensign), so the point of the sleeper ship will probably be raised in the coming 10 episodes (or one of them anyway).
