Lucifer Season 5 - Beware of Spoilers!

And the timing is perfect, it's right in my annual vacation so i can binge hard - i'm assuming they will split the season again in 2 parts but it's ok.

Since Covid delayed season 5 i'm not too surprised that the follow up comes so soon. Season 5 was all but finished, there were just some scenes to be done for the finale when production was shut down and everything got delayed.

The whole "the guilty condemn themselves" thing is a trope I've seen in a number of fantasy universes (for instance, Diane Duane's novel Stealing the Elf-King's Roses). I figure Lucifer adopted it to make Lucifer himself seem less cruel -- it's really the inhabitants of Hell who are punishing themselves, so that kind of lets him off the hook.
It's actually from the original Sandman comics where this version of Lucifer first appeared.

But the Spectre re-created the Multiverse at the Beginning of Time, and then presumably it all unfolded again over 13.8 billion years more or less the same way as it did the first time, albeit with a few alterations.

So maybe Dennis Godsbert is somehow an evolved form of Oliver Queen/the Spectre, as he manifests in the universe of Earth-666. Perhaps the reason it's such a Biblically literalist universe is because it's been shaped by his memories of Sunday school lessons.

But if God is Oliver, and Lilith is the only woman he's ever loved... does that mean Lilith is actually Felicity?

Booyah! :lol::lol:

So stoked for season 6 and that trailer was funny as hell and so much to unpack - Dan is back ( who is surprised?), Lucifer wants to be full cocked ( :guffaw:), an animated episode it seems and Lucifer having trouble adjusting to be God.

Good thing is that this drops right smack in the middle of my vacation, so i can binge hard!

I was wondering how they'd deal with the whole God thing. Lucifer hesitating to take the job explains it.

Animated episodes are starting to become a bit of a cliche at this point. But they already did a musical episode, so clearly they're not above cliche.

I'm assuming Lucifer and Chloe fighting is either because of mind control, or one of them isn't who they look like.
