Re: Lost Season Four Finale: "There's No Place Like Home, Parts II & I

So, Locke has killed himself because he knows going back to the island will bring him back to life. All the survivors of 816 died in the original crash and were brought back to life. The plane crash was planned by Jack's father who is really the person manipulating everything.

Hurley is not having visions, they are temporally displaced island survivors.

What else do we need answered?

Locke used the Frozen Donkey Wheel to escape from the island and the only way for him to return is as a corpse, so yes, he committed suicide.

Oh, that's an interesting theory. I hadn't thought of that.

But why would Jack's dad want a plane to crash on the island? Maybe Jack's dad wasn't really dead. Maybe someone from the island met Jack's Dad somewhere, and brought one of those spiders that make you go numb along? Jack's Dad would get bit. He'd go numb. And hours later, he'd wake up on the island perfectly healthy?

It would be hilarious if the paralysis spiders, invented just to dispose of Niki and Paulo, were at the heart of the island mystery. ;)

Unlikely for two reasons: One, John would have woken up by now. Two, why would they be off the Island? Someone brings them to him deliberately? What for?
