Looking for Avatar Help? Check here!

Could somebody please help me and make the background of my avatar transparent? No idea how to do it.

ETA: A bit in a rush so I skipped checking whether this is how you guys do it here. Sorry if it isn't.

If you got a idea, send me a pm and add me as your friend. I will help out as best as I can. The above are a few I have made.

Today I added a avatar picture to my profile. I could add it from my computer, so I did.

Now I'm wondering if the rules have changed, posting an avatar on a website or at least not in this forum, because this thread is from two years ago. Why else could I add a picture from my computer?

This is a two-year old thread. I joined late in 2012, so they must have changed it by then, because I uploaded mine about 2 or 3 weeks later.

Note: Mods usually don't like opening threads older than 6 months. ;)

This thread was more about getting people to make avatars the right size or as a gif (or both). I think you could upload avatars two years ago (but you certainly couldn't upload avatars back in 2003 when the thread was created).

While I'm not appreciative of the bump for meta-commentary rather than actually discussing the thread, the thread is basically a help thread. Given that, I'll leave it open for the same reason it's always been open - in case someone needs help with making an avatar. I'll warn you that this isn't exactly a high traffic forum, though, so it's possible no one will see it. But please don't bump it again unless you actually need help with an avatar.

Are you sure I need to make 100 replies before to use an avatar?) I`m really love Star Trek and I as write here even 200 and more replies but I`m afraid you`ll ban me for this amount of replies)

Yeah, it is. I think it still serves a useful purpose for those who need help making avatars, but the post-count information is not correct.
