"LA X" Live Commentary

Here's my theory.

"Jacob" and "Esau" are actually "Loki" and "Bartleby". "Esau" is "Bartleby" and just wants to go home. Whereas "Loki" was happy just causing mischeif and mayham(bringing boats and planes to the island and watching them fight it out).

So is Sawyer going to go dig up Juliet and bring her into the temple?

Good theory, you may be right

Dead is dead :(

Real Sayid and Real Locke are dead, as are Juliet, Boone, Shannon, Nikki and Paolo, Libby, Ana Lucia, etc.
This is LOST. On this show, dead is only truly dead when one or both of two things happen.

1) Hurley has a post-mortem chit-chat with them.

2) Miles does his ghost whisperer thing.

Miles did 'ghost whisper' Juliet = dead

Agreed. Juliet is most defintiely dead. Same with Sayid and Locke. Dont know why its hard for some to understand.

You know Dar, I really don't think the ":p" in my post is buried deeply enough to warrant "hard for some to understand". Next time, though, I'll make sure to post a "" to be extra obvious.

I'm not entirely convinced with Sayid. I'm taking Miles' "nothing" literally. He was basically asked what he heard and he said nothing because Sayid wasn't dead yet (he appeared dead, but that's perhaps how the process works).

Episode was excellent. I'm definitely curious about the flash-whatevers now. The other big thing I'm curious about is what'll happen to Richard.

Confirmed some theories, raised new questions (I assumed the ash was to keep something in, now it appears to be to keep the smoke monster out). I wonder if Nihongo guy is the Other's new leader.

The ash definitely has me confused. I assumed Jacob used it to keep Smokey out, but now that we know that Smokey couldn't kill Jacob, what was in that cabin that needed protecting?

It's not like the smoke monster/MIB was kept in there... because he was terrorizing everyone from Day 1.

"I'm gonna have to watch that again"

how soon till it shows up on Hulu or ABC.com????????????/

I'm thinking the writers may be a little confused too. Something tells me this will be one of many things that are just kind of swept under the run and not addressed.

The ash certainly brings up thoughts of the cabin. Will we find out who was really in there? If not, it was a neat ghost story that got us talking.

Maybe it was just to protect the physical cabin or protect other people who might seek refuge there. Or maybe the ash works both ways (on both Jacob and smokey). I guess it depends on whether or not Jacob was in the cabin the first time.

Then why would they bring the ash back up again? I've no doubt we'll soon get an answer to the ash circles.

I'm confused about the ash as well, but I don't think the writers are. I think we'll see something later this season.

I think it's a misdirection. I think we're supposed to think that the ash kept someone locked in, or locked out, but it's not who we think it was supposed to be. (Does that make any sense?)

Did we ever see the ash actually being kicked over? That's the one thing I don't remember seeing.

Ash yes, but I doubt if the deal with the cabin is ever directly referenced again.
